New snacks on Dining Plan

Oh man! We left on 4/29 and missed this change! Now I am really serious when I say that I have to start planning another trip! Not sure if I should share this info with DH or not. He MAY decide he wants to go, or he may try to use it as ammo that we shouldn't have gone when we did!

Now, Sleepy Hollow has me with the hope that the rumbly im my tummy for funnel cakes might just be considered a credit.

I used to be anticipating my table service meals with glee - now I cannot wait to see what the snacks are! And for the person who said something about Goofy's in DTD - are they included, too????

Now I remember why we were so comfused at SSR. They had loaves of bread and boxes of those little donuts. We were like "We can get a whole box of donuts?"

We left SSR yesterday morning and stopped by to use our last three snacks. We got rice krispie bars and in walking around kept seeing things with a sign under them that said snack option. We were kinda comfused at such a selection and when we checked out the lady started naming things that they had addded as snacks. Now we know why.

Do you happen to remember some of the items she named?

I only used my snack credits for bottled water last year, I can see now it will be different this time! Dole whips, funnel cakes, pastries............ What about the big pretzels, I love those!

I hadn't really looked at snack-type places since the choices were (previously) limited. I had planned on steering the kids right past Main St. Bakery or Ice Cream Parlor or any place like that. We were going to stick with the carts for snacks where they could choose just about anything with out me having to say "no that's not on the plan"

Now - I better get reading as I have a lot of snacks to drool over!

This is a bit of a bummer for me... since the snacks were so limited before, I was going to use my kids' snack credits at the food & wine festival in October for the small food portions... Now I'll have to let my kids use their snack credits I think I just lost out


Now does anyone know for certain if we can get ice cream cone's at the ice cream parlor in MK??? That would be great!

This also will change my "use the snack credit for water" plan.

Why waste it on water when I could get something yummy?!

Wonder if we should stop and get a case of water at the grocery?

Wow...we were going to have to put extra in our budget for must-haves like Dole Whip (vanilla pineapple swirl all the way...and I'm sure no worse than your average soft serve ice cream nutritionally) and coke floats at AK. While my 6yo can definitely eat a Mickey Bar daily...she also loves pretzels...

This is going to make the dining plan work out even better for us. Of course they'll probably change it back before September when we're using it...LOL

jjohnson - sorry, no I don't . We weren't paying much attention to her because we were getting the rice krispie treats for our three boys at home. I only remember her talking about the special Mother's Day rice krispie treats. I also saw larger bags of chips not the small snack size. Everything was clearly marked though which was really nice.

This changes my plans too. i thoought we'd have to buy the pasteries in Norway and pretzels in Germany. Also, I wonder if we get smoothies in Animal Kingdon, will they still come with the collector straw since they don't have disposable straws there?

And YES - get a case of water. We always hit Sam's on the way, but we usually have a car.
