I think it's so they can delete it later, and if you quote it, then the picture stays.

That should be the rule really now that I think about it. It is a good rule. The original poster should have every right to Delete whatever and whenever they want of there own pictures. I will go back and dlete my quote for the pictures I have responding on.

you would have to give the poster the ability to edit everyone else's posts.

Well, I only needed to edit one of my posts as I have only quoted someones photo once since I have been here. I really don't have a problem with my pictures being quoted, so if I decide to remove mine it will be O.K. if they stay up as quoted pictures.
