New Ship

Just returned from the Wonder - Colleen onboard booking Mgr. said to look for an announcement in 2-3 weeks about a new ship!
The Capt. was less definative - he just said "We are looking into a new ship"........I'm excited and hope for a new itinerary - I'm betting on the Mexican Riviera and/or Alaska (to capture the West coast market) although I'd prefer Europe.

I heard the same - that a public announcement is coming soon. I was told the committee finished the design planning and it had been submitted for bid. Guess that means it is going to the lowest bidder and not necessarily the same one that built the Magic and Wonder. Could be true, or not. It does seem inevitable that a 3rd ship is in the works.

I think the "submitting it for bidding" thing is more a way of answering to stockholders than really determining who will be building the ship. I'm sure they already have a rough idea of what it's going to cost them. And I'm sure if they have a particular builder in mind that they would like to use, paperwork can be shuffled to make that team the most advantageous builder to use
