Just announced on the Annual Meeting webcast, the new ships are Disney Dream to launch in 2011, Disney Fantasy in 2012!!!!

I must admit that they lack a certain originality nor do I like that DCL is somehow associated with Carnival - I do like Fantasia better than Fantasy - probably would have made more sense to call them Dreams and Wishes, if they were going with "Dream"

I actually think that the Disney Dream is very appropriate, more so than for Carnival. Afterall, Disney was literally built on dreams.

I just read about it on orlanosentinel.com and I had to get over here as soon as I read it!

I am half surprised and half not.

Those ideas were floated around and seemed to be fan favorites. Also, the themes make sense with the Disney company.

However, I REALLY did not expect them to copy other ships' names, Carnival, no less. I mean sure, I know ship names get copied all the time, but this is Disney, and Disney definitely does not do things like everyone else.

I really expected them to use new ship names, just because they are Disney, and they would rather be trendsetters.

I never really liked Dreams and Wishes, as the plural for a ship kinda annoys me.

Same here. Wishes was just more of a Disney-esque name, in my opinion.
