ps - do they still surprise them if its at night? I remember when I got in they did it during the school day so it was a total surprise, except it meant my mom couldnt come....but thats ok, she was there in spirit, and my dad and one sister did. Was very cool. With so much family in the area LizzY must have had QUITE a crowd!!! Tell her all her limeys say congrats!!

Well, i'm glad one cub is better! Hopefully the other one will be fine when he gets up this morning! Ummm....I think cub would have covered Martina...she was a "bear" last night cause she wasn't feeling well...she's not up yet this morning...i figured I'll let her sleep as long as i can, the rest will be good for her.

No surprise at her HS. WhenI went to HS it was also during the day and was a surprise. Only DH, Winnie, Tink, and I went. I asked LizzY if she wanted to invite Nana and Grandma, but she did not want to invite my MIL! MIL does try to make every event about herself and does not give LizzY any breathing room so she decided that she would rather not have either of her grandmother's there. She did want Nana, but I told her that she should really have Grandma if she invited Nana! SHe did invite her fairy godmother, NSalz, but Figment was getting an award at her school tonight cool1: - go Figment) so she couldn't make it.

Hugh, I thought of you at the ceremony tonight. The kids had to write a couple of sentences about themselves on an index card to be read when their name was announced. A sentence about what you've done in HS and a sentence about your future plans. Lots of kids wrote that they wanted to go into scientific research. Lizzy went a different route. She said she wanted to go to college in New England, hopefully somewhere where she can take a dance class. She got a good laugh!

Found out today that Dh is going to have to give up his film camera soon they are no longer making the kind he has and are fazing out the film for them as well. Guess he will have to invest in a digital for himself. Thankfully I have a nice one for our trip plus we have the camcorders to use also. I picked up some more blank dvd's for Dh's camcorder and since mine uses memory cards we are all set. Now I just have to finish packing everything up

I just started raining here. I hope it knocks down some of the humidity. Talk about a sauna when you walk outside

Thanks! Just a little cough now! I called the Dr, and she thinks it's just allergies...gave her some Benadryl and it seemed to help more than the cough & cold stuff.

Actually the day she slept so long was BEFORE I gave her the Benadryl. i think she had just woken up so much during the night coughing that she just slept so late. The Benadryl seems to have done the trick. I'm gonna call in the morning and see If I can use Zyrtec or Claritin during the day...otherwise she WILL sleep all day. Both say 6 and over on the box, so I'll see what the Dr says.

Howdy everyone....thank you for all the nice Kudo's for Figment. She was really cute and very surprised. She doesn't really realize how smart she is...she'd rather just watch cartoons.

Tomorrow we are having a surprise 50th b-day party for my brother. The whole familly is putting it on, but it is at my house. I can't wait. I love when all the bro's and sis's are together. My brother thinks it is a memorial day party and is bringing deviled eggs!!!

Here i am!

I just haven't been on much, when i am i am drooling over the food porn thread. guess i am still stuck on depriving myself eh? Went to the meeting yesterday (have a 6 week maintenance period of time to level off) & i lost another lb. Say i can go ahead and eat even more each day. I am scared that i will gain it back.

Em left Wednesday am (very early) to go to Thunderbay and I am enjoying my true alone time!! I am catching up on an entire MONTH of Ellen that i have taped and feel my eyes will soon turn square. I have almost finished planning our part of the trip and have just about mapped out the various places we can stop to eat and get coffee etc.

so there's my life in a nutshell
