Howdy my PEEPs!

So the plumber was here Monday because the water heater wasn't working, and he came back today and was sick. I better not let DH know. He knows I've had a thing for this plumber for the 17 years he's been working on our pipes. In fact, on Monday, I said to DH, "I'm getting to that stage in life where even some grandfathers are attractive," and he said, "Like who?" and I said, "Like Roger Daltrey, or Robert (our plumber)." His comment? "Down, Girl!"

Feel better Danielle. Be careful sitting around too much might turn into pnuemonia!

Sorry didn't realize how long its been since I posted here. It's been really quiet. Yesterday we went to an IEP meeting for ds and today we took him to the dr. I noticed some unusual swelling on his back next to his spine, turned out to be a pulled muscle. It only hurts him if its touched so he can still do things. Of course he got a note from work today--- hope they don't find out he's playing soccer tomorrow.

I shall be hanging around my puter all day today as I am filling in for the Riddle Goddess

It is a very rainy morning here today but they say it is going to clear up for a bit this afternoon. I sure hope so because I have to go to the grocery store at some point today and I just hate unloading the shopping cart in the rain

You must be shopping now then. Hope it did clear up there. They were forcasting 90% rain & thunderstorms here today. Had some this morning, rain I mean, but the sun is out now. I went out & basked in it during my lunch break.

Clouding over again now a bit though.

Yeah, these were good stuff in the "old" days!! Tee hee! And good to see you also. Hope we can be on same time one day. Hear anymore about the job yet?

Nope....but its not looking good. Money is tight and the department is struggling. I pretty much figure it will be weeks, not months. But nothing else is coming along either....total bummer.

Also, the dang weather! They canceled my little cubs field trip for today on yesterday, based on the reports.....so now its nice and sunny. I was going to take the morning off and have a great time....

Hi everyone. This is me. If you remember, I had the flu and an ear infection a month ago. Well, I've been coughing ever since, and Sunday, I started running a fever. I went to the dr. this morning, and I have an infection in my lungs. So it's antibiotics and sitting around being lazy until I feel better. I watched Meet the Robinsons (loved it) and now I'm watching Disney splurges on the Travel Channel.
I'm missing the field trip to the farm tomorrow. At least I have a good sub though.

Hope you are feeling better soon!!! And leave the plummer alone.....

And yeah for Friday!! My last long work weekend at the Y for this month. Have teaching , guarding & then training tomorrow. Then I just found out I have to re-cert my CPR & AED training after that. Blah! Thank goodness we can recert and not have to go through the whole thing!

It cleared up long enough for me to get there. While I was in the store it rained again and then went to a drizzle by the time I was heading for the car. So I got lucky. It was only supposed to be a 70% chance here today so I guess my area was in that 70%

I myself have recently talked to someone bout a spot I interviewed for that was filled and has reopened. Won't know anything bout it till week we are in WDW or the week after that though. The posting of it doesn't close till the day Dh and I head for FL.

Thanks! I must admit I'm pretty tired of stressing about the job. I even passed on an amazing flight deal for our trip in August....jsut couldnt do it, dang it. We'll all keep thinking postive thoughts!

I've just been way too busy to post! I check everyday tho to keep up, which obviously hasn;t been too ugh to do lately! GOod luck on the scale Jacqueline! Do a few of these right before you weigh in!

We always drive about 10 hours the first day and then about nine the second.
DH and I are not as hot on it as the kids. Of course we have a van and they lounge out and watch videos for hours, so what is there not to love!!


I know, I hate diving right into hot wheather. We have had years like that. This year though it is taking it's sweet time and I am happy about it!!


Actually, those are some of the best memories. When you have no money and you do what you can to go on vacation. You look back and think, how did we manage? I have many stories of going to the New Jersey shore with hardly any money and staying at some hotels I probably wouldn't touch today with a ten foot pole. But gosh did I have fun!

I went back to work today, and I had only 14 students show up (That means 6 were absent). I guess maybe I gave as good as I got on the kindergarten cooties (although 3 of the 6 often don't come to school on Friday). . It was 100 degrees out, so I kept the kids inside for recess. We boogied for P.E. which was fun. I think I went down a peg in their esteem today, though. I had a coughing fit, and ran to the bathroom to finish coughing it up. There was a girl in the girl's stall, so I ran into the boy's stall to spit it out. There may have also been some hacking sounds . When the girl came out of her stall, she said, "Mrs. Dwheatl, was that you in the boy's bathroom?" She was totally disgusted, more I think by my using the boy's bathroom than anything else.
