New promotion question? will we get a rebate?

Question. We booked our vacation a month ago. Paid in full.
Today they released that they will add on for free the park hoppers/ water parks and more option to any packages between March something and May something...we paid for the hopper and stuff in our package..will anything be done for us, rebate or anything for the difference?
Or are we out of luck???

You could try and call them. Maybe if you give them the new code, they'll apply it to your current reservation and you'd get a refund.

I know you won't get anything automatically.

They may not be able to easily do it since you've already paid in full. I think that lots of times it means cancelling your current reservation and rebooking.

It'd be worth a phone call to reservations to find out.

IIRC from when I did this a few years ago it doesn't matter if you have made your final payment, it matters if you are within the 45 day window of when your trip begins. If you aren't then I *think* you can make the changes to your package with no problems.

If you are within that 45 days then there is a change fee. You have to figure out if the deal is worth it. Often it is because you are still saving more even after the change fee.

I am just pulling this all from memory--and I have a horrible memory! But I do know that they will not automatically apply the discount. You have to call and request it. And they are very nice about it so just give them a call and ask. You can even call today and talk with some one so you can do the math and decide if it is worth it to even try.

All this is assuming you booked your trip youself. If you booked with a TA then some of them will automatically apply the code, but with many you have to call and request that they take care of it. And then your TA has to do the calling to Disney, not you.

I just got off the phone with Disney reservations. She took my reservation number and looked at my dates. She said that the park hopper, water parks and more free upgrade information was being sent out via e-mail and mailers. I should be receiving it soon. My dates are May 29th through June 7th so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I wouldn't wait for an email or mailer. If it is released to the general public tomorrow then I would call back tomorrow and ask to have it applied. Sometimes they only designate a set number of rooms at each resort for a special offer and by the time you get the mailer all the rooms at your resort could be booked up and you would have to switch.

just got off the phone with CAA. She said you can't have 2 promo's..so we choose the $25 gift card or the rebate.
so I'd choose the $189 rebate..before I get excited..she just called back and said the woman at customer service was arguing with her about the code saying it was for Disney Visa only....So she hung up and will call back. she said they are so unorganized there!
She will call me tomorrow with the outcome!

she called back to confirm...they applied the code and we will be getting a credit on my Credit card or $319.64...today is a magical day...lol
