New Promo coming....I think

OK...I just got home from Disney yesterday 8/29. I stayed in POFQ and got a receipt that had same message at the bottom that I got when I was there in December for Bounce back. I walked over to Riverside to find out more info.(as the receipt says) and no one knew what I was talking about. I found the evening manager and he was able to find out that a new promo was going to start at the end of the month called "resort future stay" but I couldn't book it because it didn't start yet. I asked him why it was being printed on receipts now to book...he agreed that it shouldn't be printed if it's not out. I did call guest services and they said that it was for free dining 2008 but it wasn't going to start until August 30-September 30. I couldn't go during those dates so I quit my fight.
Maybe others there now will be reporting soon.

I seem to have missed out on the general public code at POP and now it looks like I might miss out on the bounceback!

Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll offer it in December again, too.

Just a question...were those dates of Aug.30-Sept 30 the 2007 dates you "think" you could book the bounceback offer, or the 2008 dates that the offer would be good for. I know this all hypothetical, of course.

Now see, Free dining is fine though it won't be as good a deal next year as this, but with the other discounts that come out, I can't stand the heat in August and September so I could not go then, I am going this Nov with the current code out there which saves me in almost the same as the cost of the dining plan, hense free dining for all intents and purposes. But I can go when I wish instead of the time I can't.

This would be wonderful! I kind of thought this would be the last year of free dining. Of course this would mean I would risk being thought of as an irresponsible parent for taking my child out of school!

If these dates are correct, I wonder what the dates will be for Visa members and the general public.

This year their free dining period started a week or two later than the UK and bounce back program.

Guest services said the promo would be for Aug. 30-Sept 30, 2008. It was supposed to be released at the end of this month to book. It is a bit confusing....I spent 2 1/2 hours just to get this much information. I think that it will be marketed like last year at select resorts. Check your receipts for the message.

Phooey. I'm still hoping those were the booking dates, and that the offer itself will run around the same dates as the current UK offer, if not longer, like it did this year. Keeping my fingers crossed, and hoping all you diligent DIS'ers out there keep us informed!

I'll be watching this, but those dates are not very good. At least this year most of August was offered. The timeframe is getting smaller and smaller each year. If the BBP is good for 4 weeks, will that mean the public will even get an offer? doesn't look good for 2008.

YAYAYAYAYAYAY! Add me to the list of super excited hopefuls. We were planning our trip next year for September, 2008 and free dining would be so very wonderful. Thank you mamasha for taking the time to investigate this and to post it here on The Dis.

Actually, I just double checked my calendar- I was wrong and those aren't my dates at all. I can't even GO during those dates! We are going Aug 24-29. My husband has to be at work on Sat (Aug 30) and my kids start school the day after Labor Day. Waaaaaa!

Don't get too upset, this is just in it's rumor stage right now. Until it's official, everyone should just be watching and listening to what's coming up next. I sure hope we know soon, that way I can move forward and plan accordingly for next year. I hated waiting until Spring/April only to be disappointed that my dates were not included.

Thanks, keep us posted. THis time last year the UK folks got their offer of free dining for the following summer. I've noticed there has been no mention of an offer yet for 2008, so am wondering if there will be no offer to them for next year. Looks like the timeframe window is getting smaller and smaller until it disappears completely.
