So this year my school has a new principal. I haven't
even started school yet and already I don't like him.
We have open campus at my school, so everyone (except
freshmen) can go outside and eat on the front lawn and
leave school at lunch time and study hall. Well this year
I'm a sophmore so I was really excited to be able to go
outside especially because I have 5th period study hall
which is right before lunch so I would be able to leave
for about 2 hours. But the new principal took that away.
Open campus is only for seniors now, it's so stupid. They
put a picnic table like right outside the door so you can
go like two feet out the door, but whats the point? And
normally on the first day of school the freshmen go in
at normal time (7:28) and everyone else goes in at I think
10. Well now freshmen don't even have to go to school the first day.
Omg I'm like wicked mad.

Sorry, I just needed to vent :P

uhhgg I hate when that happens! I hate new principals, and who take things away. Well, good luck stephanie! Sorry about your principal!

They did that to another school around us too, but its for your safety.
Seniors are "supposed" to be mature and will be or are already adults so they can go out, but if something bad happened to any of you while out, the school is responsible.
Just think of it that way.

But about freshman not required to go to school the first day is kind of weird. :confused3

Seniors can drive. That rule is stupid. If there is a day when just freshman are required to go to class but not the uppperclassmen its only fair they get a day off too.

yo u think thats bad my a.p last year was the meanest and one of the reasons she got fired was being so mean and harsh on kids
then i come to science class on the first day of school last year in 7th and she is my TEACHER!!!! everyone was like freeking out like i thought the fired her but ya she was sooo mean

Being able to leave campus isn't THAT big of a deal. My school is a closed campus and nobody has THAT big of a problem with it. There are bigger thigns to gripe about.

But the freshmen not coming to class, that's odd.

My school doesnt care. We can walk across the street go through the park and to the mall. We can eat anywhere.

We all have to go to school on the first day. Freshman or not.

My school isn't close to anything, so you'd need a car if you had time off. Walking will only get you to the radio station or the convenience store.

But a few years ago, we got this principal. One kid hurts themselves going up the stairs, they blame it on flip flops and put a ban on open toed sandals.
The principal leaves. The rule stays. They say every school in the district was going by these rules (which also included, no bearing of the collar bone), even though I could clearly see that not a single student at any other school even mentioned having these rules.
You can lie to me if you want, but I'm not following it.

The middle school now has that flip flop rule, they think people will trip if they wear flip flops, its so dumb.

ya my middle school
no tanktopes ( string)
no flip flops
no backpacks and lots othere
but we wear it any way ;}
