New Pirates Movie

"Johnny Depp earned the House of Mouse over $2.6 billion with the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, which is why Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer have him on board for a fourth turn as Captain Jack Sparrow. That strikes me as incredibly sad. Even though they were pleasant enough, and the first one was a real kick iin the pants, the movies in that trilogy experienced a steady erosion in the fun factor as the later installments came out. And surely Depp has made enough money to buy France by now. But he's always had a love of roles that didn't require him getting a haircut, so there you go. "

I will agree that Pirates-3 was not a best effort; I thoroughly enjoyed the first 2. I would like to see nimber 4 get back the feeling of the first 2.

It was obviously not over after the 3rd. Honestly I couldn't care less how good the movie is, Johnny Depp looks amazing as Captain Jack Sparrow!

I'm one of the minority that actually loved all three movies. I can't wait for the fourth, but I really hope Bloom and Knightly are in it as well. Not sure if I would enjoy it as much if they aren't a part of it.

I liked all 3 movies too.The 3rd was my least favorite. I'm hoping this movie will move back to the fun of the 1----savvy?

I'm excited for this! I love that Johnny Depp loves this character and wants to continue to play him and has a strong relationship with Disney now. But did they actually announce it? I know it was implied at the showcase the other day when Depp walked out in costume but did they officially announce? It probably means they have just have plans for it but considering the writers are now working on The Lone Ranger, we may be a little wait...

I hope it has the humor of the first movie and the drama of the third. The second is actually my least favorite, kind of silly IMO. I still love them all, but in that order 1, 3, 2.

I hadn't heard that yet, and I am so excited!! Heck, I would go see it with Johnny Depp (especially dressed at Captian Jack) just read the entire encyclopdia. I just love that man, and will see any movie he does.

Well, I would like to see all the original castmembers in it again, but won't be crushed if they are not as long as captain Jack is in it. I loved all 3 movies, but I think the excitement of the first two were more than the third. I don't see them as sequels, but as an extension to the story I love that I first found at WDW.

I am totally over the Turner/Swann story so I'm glad they aren't in it. I thought their story line in the 3rd one was awful.

I am a HUGE Potc fan and although I absoloutely love Captain Jack, I don't know if I would love the 4th movie as much without Will and Elizabeth. I love the love story and I'm completely in love with Orlando Bloom so they really need to make this one really really good in order for me to love it as much as the first 3. I'm sure it will be good regardless though, but I feel as though it may be missing something if they don't have Will and Elizabeth in it.

Maybe they'll do "Pirates of the Caribbean 4: The Captain Jack Chronicles" or "The Adventures of Captain Jack" Or maybe even his backstory, or the adventures they alluded to in the first movies, almost like a prequel. His character is way more interesting than Will's or Elizabeth's.

I LOVED the POTC movies. All 3 of them. Captn Jack is my favorite however I want to know if Will & Elizabeth get to finally be together? Does Will finally get to get out of his bond to the chip as captain? I can't wait!!!! My children LOVE these movies!

This is great news to me. My whole family loves the Pirate movies.
