New Pirates Movie

Word is that Knightly and Bloom will not be in the 4th movie, and the story line is moving away from the usual format to discovering lost worlds, in the Jules Verne style, and an archenemy who wants to take over the world.

I LOVED the POTC movies. All 3 of them. Captn Jack is my favorite however I want to know if Will & Elizabeth get to finally be together? Does Will finally get to get out of his bond to the chip as captain? I can't wait!!!! My children LOVE these movies!

Maybe since Captain Jack has a map to the Fountain of Youth, he finds it so Elizabeth will never grow old and will get to see Will every 10 years for a very long time. I must admit I have a vivid imagination but who knows.

I heard rumors a few months ago about filming in St. Augustine (where the fountain of youth is supposed to be). It would tie in the Capt. Jack's ending in the 3rd movie.

Have you ever watched the end after all the credits..... you will see what happens to Will and Elizabeth.

I love PotC and would love to see all of them in the movie, especially Orlando Bloom!!

I am totally over the Turner/Swann story so I'm glad they aren't in it. I thought their story line in the 3rd one was awful.

Agreed. I don't think I'd be able to stomach them in a 4th installment. Especially Knightley. Something about her just annoys me.

As long as it keeps making Disney money, they'll still make these movies. I wasn't a fan of the 3rd movie. However, a storyline based a Jack alone would intrigue me.

I will miss Orlando Bloom. I will not miss Kiera Knightly and her emoting chin. They way she juts out her chin when she acts--it drives me insane!

Well, I love the imagination behind that. If she is going to be in the movie, that might be a good story line.

I would love a Pirates 4! I dont think they were sure of the fourth movie or not- they just added in the whole map thing just in case they decided to make a new movie. Same with National Treasure- that whole presidential book thing. Im not sure what order I like the potc movies, but as long as jack is in it Disney will make money off of them.

Maybe they'll do "Pirates of the Caribbean 4: The Captain Jack Chronicles" or "The Adventures of Captain Jack" Or maybe even his backstory, or the adventures they alluded to in the first movies, almost like a prequel. His character is way more interesting than Will's or Elizabeth's.

I agree. Stuff about love just gets in the way of a good action adventure. Just when Jack is doing something exciting, the scene switches to what some lovebirds are talking about. I can't wait to see the 4th installment.

AGREED! Have you ever seen the video on youtube where it's actors impersonating Johnny & Keira between scenes of POTC? It's hysterical!

I have to agree, This story has has run it's course.

However I did enjoy all three movies, however the third was my least favorite. i do hope that they go back to what made the first 1 great.

I have NO doubt that JD can pull off the 4th movie without Bloom or Knightly. It'll give them a chance to introduce some new story lines. The last couple of movies had become less fun and too Turner/Swann-centric - and not nearly enough Cap'n Jack. I'd LOVE to see some fun pirating with Jack and his dad.

I remember after 3rd one came out, Keira Knightly said IF they do decide to make 4th POTC she doesn't want to do it. The funny thing is after that statement a Disney Rep said that as long as Johnny Depp comes back who cares?? Or something along those lines. I thought it was funny and spot on.
