Does anyone know how far out you will be able to book this, will it be 90 days or 180?

Not yet. Yesterday was our 90 day mark for dining. I asked the CM doing our dining reservations about the Pirates and he pulled up the e-mail he received on it. Said that it would be today, but not at 7:00 a.m. -- instead, he said to call mid-afternoon as that would be when they'd start taking reservations for Pirates. I'm going to call at about 3:00.

Has anyone else been able to book yet?

I just got off the phone with Disney. It is still unavailable for booking (it isn't in their computer system yet). Yes, there will be girl costumes! (I SPECIFICALLY asked about that! )

I also just got off the phone with WDW and they weren't able to book. Nothing on the computer about it and nothing to tell them when booking will start. Grrrrr. (or maybe, Arrrggghhh.) The CM I spoke with yesterday read his e-message to me about how they'd start booking on May 11.

Yeah at 3pm the person I spoke with said they had been told originally it would be mid afternoon, but now the earliest they expect is late evening.

It's funny, because when I was trying to book the Pirate & Pals Cruise (the one that opens to the public and not just GG folks in July), the same thing happened. I was told they would start booking on one day, but when I called, it was "try later...try tomorrow...try the next day". Eventually, I was able to get our reservation, but it took a bit of persistence.

Oh well. Guess I'll just keep trying with this!

ETA: I tried again (b/c I'm just annoying like that) and CM "Worthington" said that they just got information that they would be accepting reservations tomorrow.

Please keep us posted on this. I want to book it for September. I'm crossing my fingers for some kind of soft opening on it when we go in early June. You never know!
My daughter is older (12), and she's not into dressing up like a princess. We ALL want to do the pirate makeover. Sounds like fun!!!

Yep I was just gonna post the same thing. No reservations until "sometime" tomorrow.

Even the official Disney website http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/tours-and-experiences/pirates-league/ says to call now to book. You'd think they'd wait to put it on their website AFTER they were ready to book. The CM I talked to at the 407-WDW-CREW number was frustrated by that, too.

I tried again just in case but they are still saying it will be tomorrow.

I did get a bit more information on the "costumes." Please keep in mind this was from a phone cast member who wasn't quite certain himself, and (sorry guys) kinda had a "male description" of clothing if you know what I mean. He did try, though!
There will be four available.
The one for girls is called the "Pirate Wench." His description was: "dress and things over your shoes like boots, at it is like an old style dress"
The second he called the "Boney Pirate" with a shirt thing that comes down to your hands with a skeleton on them."
The third was "Capt Jack" which included "a shirt and dredlocks with a hat."
And he couldn't even remember the fourth one, "Some Pirate Captain or something" (Um...I sure hope it's a Pirate at the Pirates League).

(Please understand I'm smiling, he was actually trying to be very helpful, it just made me think of my husband trying to describe our daughters' clothing. He knows they left the house dressed and not exposed, and that's about it!)

My "guess" from nothing other than the vague information he had was that they will be an awful lot like the pirate costumes Disney already has out there, or similar to these (totally guessing, I just wanna see how close I get!)

Thanks for the costume info! I think I'm going to book my daughter the Empress package and then if we find a costume there we like, we'll buy it. Hopefully, someone will be able to post pictures before we go in July.
