New pirate makeover experience!

Wow, sounds like my DD would enjoy that. She's was only briefly into the princesses and Hannah Montana and has had no desire to go the BBB. She loves the POTC movies and adores Jack Sparrow so I could see her wanting a pirate makeover. Of course, I think DS will like it too when he's a bit older.

bradk,

Thanks for the info!

Of course, this opens THE DAY AFTER WE LEAVE!! :sad1:

There is always next time!!

Finally something my son would enjoy! Well, actually, my daughter will like it too!

The following is from "Disneyshawn" blog page:

Opening in late June 2009 in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom Park is the Pirates League, an all-new immersive experience where young Guests may assume pirate identities, be transformed into a pirate by a Pirate Master, and gain access to a secret treasure room.

Now under construction in the former House of Treasure location in Caribbean Plaza, Pirates League will be the boys' (and pirate-fan girls') equivalent to Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boutique. Similar to that location, various package levels will be offered. While the Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boutique prepares visiting Princesses to attend Cinderella's Royal Ball, the Pirates League is designed to fully prepare those eager to enlist with the crew of the Black Pearl. In fact, details from the Pirates of the Caribbean films are woven throughout the story line for the Pirates League, including references to Captain Jack Sparrow and the East India Trading Company.

I'll have the complete story of the location, as well as details to look for, closer to the opening date this summer.

I heard about this a while ago!!:) I am glad it is actually happening...I heard it is in a room attached to the store outside of pirates...it used to part of the store but it has been used as a store room...I also heard there will be a pirates meal coming also

I can't wait to make my DS a reservation!! We will be there in mid-late July and he is so excited.

Soundsike fun. The reservations open on my 90 day....great day to hold on the phone I guess!

with BBB, a credit card is required to secure the reservation with a $10 per appointment no-show fee. I'd presume it'd be the same here.

any chance they will have a soft opening earlier in June? (fingers crossed)princess:

Very cool- about time for something for boys :)

Definitely a cool idea. They needed something like this. pirate:

This is so exciting! I wish it would open earlier though, so my nephews and I could all do it together.
