New pirate makeover experience!

Okay y'all help me think of how in the WORLD I'm going to talk my daughter out of the "Boney Pirate!"

We're going at 10:30 am...her face will be covered in makeup...and we're eating at Cindy's Royal Table that night!!!

/sigh

Of course I should probably just remember it's all about her and let her do what she wants, right?

You can upload pictures at www.imageshack.us, then copy/paste the code it gives you here.

This doesn't help - but the cursed look is adorable on girls with the maiden dress. We didn't realize they are the same color scheme - so they look great!

If it gets pretty smudged during the day... you can try swinging by later on to see if there is room for a quick touch up.

That's the one that looks like a skeleton? That's what my DD has decided she wants. I've been trying to talk her out of it too, lol. I was so sure she'd want the girly makeup. She doesn't think it looks 'Piratey' though. pirate:

I was worried it would be itchy. Usually when she has her face painted she's scratching at it in no time at all. With September being so hot, well, eek. She's determined that's what she wants though. I bought her a pirate dress from ebay. It looks somewhat similar to the one from the Pirates League, same colors anyway, but it has short sleeves. Still, if that choice of looks works well with your dress, then I guess it should look good with the one I bought also.

DD's dress has some little skulls hanging from the laces in front and one attached to the front of the skirt on the bottom. They're small, like 1" or 2" but that's what gave her the idea to get that choice of face paint.

Here's a photo of DD's dress:

I just booked this for my son! He turns 5 while we are down there so I booked it for his birthday which is also a MNSSHP night.

We just did this for our three Grandsons, 8, 7 and 5 last week. They really had a blast doing it. We thought the cast members were great and they did a great job.

Hi, I started to read through some pages but figured I'd ask for some direction! First of all, this looks incredible! I did the BBB with my DD last year and although she loved it, she doesn't want to do it again for awhile. THis looks like just as much fun, if not more! My question is, is there a page on this thread that shows the different prices, the different costumes available, the phone # to call, etc? I am so excited. Pirates is my DD's second favorite ride and we still sing the Yo Ho song all the time (it is also my ringtone on my phone!) Thanks for starting this thread. I can't wait to learn more. Do they do adults and have adult costumes too? I'd love to get madeover at the same time as my DD!

We did the $50 package for our Grandsons, but I think the next package was maybe $125. I'm not totally sure, but I can tell you for sure that they also do adults because the were doing an adult while the boys were getting their make up on. I called 407- WDW-PLAY to make their reservation.

Does anyone know the cost of the girls costumes as an add on to the Empress package?

Sorry if this has already been asked, but my son's (turning 8) entire souvenir/spending budget is the birthday gift card he's getting from Disney. He wants to do this, but we can't swing it financially OOP. Do they accept the gift card? If not, can anyone recommend anything kind of cool and piratey for him where his gift card would be accepted? Thanks everyone. I hope he can do it since the odds of us being there on his birthday again are slim.

Well, I'm making an educated guess here, but the Birthday Fun Card is essentially a gift card. The only restriction is that it must be used for Merchandise. TPL is considered a merch location, so it would be highly unlikely that the Fun Card wouldn't be usable at TPL since our pursers use the same register system as the rest of property. Remember that for an 8 year old the Fun Card will be $63, so the 1st Mate Package will pretty much take the whole card. And remember his Birth Certificate or Passport! He must have proof of his birthday! As well as having a valid multi-day ticket (two or more days).

Question:
I think that my 3 boys will love this, but I have 1 who gets very anxious about new things. If I sign him up with his brothers and he decides not to do it, do I still have to pay? Or could my DH take his place?

Thanks!

Just wanted to pop in and say this thread has been very helpful! I have reservations for the Pirate League for my ds(7) and dd(5) on Sept. 20th. We are also going to the Pirates and Pals Voyage that night as well. This is a suprise birthday trip for ds, and I am having the hardest time keeping my mouth shut in front of the kids!

The last time we were at Disney World (2 years ago) we went to the princess tea and the princess breakfast, but there really wasn't much for my son. I am so happy that Disney finally has something to offer little boys!! :dance3:

That's what I want to do with my boys too. Would you mind telling me what time you made your appointment for? We're going to MNSSHP on 10/25. Thanks. I'm also hoping to get them in at the same time.

Thanks Plaid - I'll see you tomorrow!!

I'm going off the top of my head, I think the Maiden is $50 and the Buccaneer is $55. The general Pirate shirt (unisex) without the hat is something like $33.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for all the info...especially the fact that the Capt package does not include the empress makeover! I will be much better prepared when I book :) I can't tell you how excited I am about this experience...I'm thinking of booking this, riding Pirates of the Caribbean countless times then ending it with the Pirates and Pals fireworks cruise. February can't come fast enough now!

No, you will not be charged if he gets nervous and does not want to do it. We only charge those who just don't show up. However, we'd love to take in DH in his place!!!

We have booked our 2 boys (5 & 3) for 9/20...which happens to be my birthday. I am so excited about this. My boys have taken such an interest in pirates all of a sudden...I know they are going to love this experience.

I think it is so cool that some of you CMs have jumped on this thread to offer advice etc. Thanks for taking your time to do this. And, Breanna, I'm a redhead too...we'll be looking out for you! :)
