Hi
I would love to know all the details if you have any time to post. We'll be there in December and there might be 10 of us going in August, so this will give me some time to coordinate the dates with everyone else. Thanks!! Have a great trip!!!
pretty much been covered through this thread.
8/5-9/29
5 nights (looks like maybe able to be three)
min. 1 day base ticket
free dining

need to book before you check out. Changes may be made & cancellation before 45 days will be refunded. Same as last year expect for the earlier offer.

Both WDW agents we spoke with said they didn't believe dining would be offered. They were hoping to generate enought interest with this offer. Don't know who or what to believe.

I talked to a CM today (on the phone) that knew a lot about it. She said that if there is enough interest from this in the next two months, that they would offer it out to the public later.

Wow, woman we spoke with said the exact opposite. Looks like a wait & see.

I can't imagine it won't come out in April like it has the last two years. I guess the test thing might give some people the chance to get in at certain resorts before others that have to wait until Public release.

I just don't know. Can't seem to make sense of why they are doing this. Only benefit I can see is the dining res. window. If I am missing it, fill me in please :teeth:

Got me! Disney hasn't been making much sense in the last year or two.

You said 10 pages full there.
What I find odd is that the offer is for guest's staying onsite only. Never seen that before.

I have a feeling those of us who can't visit Nov.-Dec., may miss out on free dining. :guilty:

If they can fill the rooms with UK guest and those who are taking advantage of the new program, why would they need to offer free dining to the general public. :confused3

If a free dining package is released in April, :wizard: the number of rooms available at each resort may be very limited.

Am I the only one that doesn't see the "huge incentive" here? As an AP holder w/DDE, my discount rivals what I would save with this package. Especially if I wanted to stay at a Deluxe. Am I missing something here? I was so excited to hear that wdw was doing something like this, only to find out they are offering the same exact discount the same time of year. This is not "new and exciting." This is the same free dining, expect it needs to be booked on site months in advance. I would be hard pressed if this discount does not come out for the general public in april again. Give me a room discount and some other incentives and I'll come down in april, may, june, or even july.

This is similar to what the DCL does. You get a 10% discount and onboard credit if you rebook while you are onboard.

For those of us who don't have APs and can't purchase the DDE, this is a great deal. :confused3

Not all programs/discounts will work for all families.

I am a AP holder and getting DDE card. I still think this is a great deal. You only have to buy tickets for one day and can use those to upgrade your AP next year. Also a better deal if you have small children only a couple bucks more for free food! Can't Wait!! :cool1:

Yes booking the ADRs will be tricky. Basically, you will have to book your ADRs before you book your package. If you have an August trip in mind and wait for the package to be released--probably April--that doesn't give you much time. Boy, if I got a ding right now, I might have to just fly in for a couple of days just to book my summer trip.

But you're still getting the same deal that everyone else did that time of year. This is nothing new and exciting. They're just offering it to you ahead of everyone else.

This is a new and exciting for me since I will be there next month and can book it knowing I will be getting free dinning next Sept.
For anyone not going by the end of the year it will be slow torture wondering if they will be offering it.
I have a AP and am glad I only need to buy a one day ticket, we are going the end of Sept. and seriously considering going the first week of Aug. too.
We went last Aug. and loved the free dinning!
It is a awesome deal if you stay at the Value Resorts, I would only get about $15 off a night with my AP.

I'm sure the Disney number crunchers have already figured out how many rooms they can afford to offer with the free dining....if there is enough interest generated by the UK offer and now this new deal there may not be a need to release it to the general public next year - when the allocated rooms are gone, they are gone. Until they know the level of interest I don't think they really know whether it will be offered at a later date or not...

This is why I am concerned about my trip in Sept 2007. I was hoping for free dinning but if they are offering all this already, I am chancing that the allocated rooms will be sold out by December. I have a reservation already w/dinning, but am thinking of getting another one room only with AAA just in case. If I can't get free dinning we will probably get the room discount w/AAA and pay for food OOP. But if free dinning does open up - I'll (and a million others LOL) will pounce on it!

My only concern is this deal will be offered during Christmas Week when the hotels are probably near capacity, (alot of guests who could potentially book the package) I'd feel better if the deal ended before Christmas. Hopefully Disney won't book enough packages and will open it up to everyone. :) I believe that they will continue to offer the package until they fill enough of the resorts. If we can't get the free dining then it looks like we'll be cruising instead. :thumbsup2
