New Pilot Program for Aug-Sep. 2007....Looks like FREE DINING

IMO they are not doing an all out promo on this, very low key. Maybe try to call WDW travel & explain you were not informed. Sure they can verify you were on property somehow. Keep me posted :sunny:

Oh I know they were being low key...it is just that it started when I was already there....IF I was home reading Dis, I would have known where to look and where to book. I am going to try and call on Friday when I am home with no distractions. Maybe I'll get lucky but I really doubt it. OH well I guess we will either wait to see if it is realised to the public OR try to rent DVC points ....I would like a little bit of a nicer room then the values for our anniversary since we will be spending time in it. :thumbsup2

Shades of Green is not a WDW owned/operated resort. I don't believe they are participating.

Can a DVC member staying at a DVC resort on points do the future booking? Don't see why not since they are Disney owned and operated. I'm booking for next August because I wouldn't have wanted to use the points then anyway. I can book a one day base pass and use it to renew my AP in September.

Did you go to one of the resorts (POR etc) to book or did you call a number? We are staying using our DVC Dec 3-7 and wanted to try and book for free dining as we'd prefer to save our points for something else and pay out of pocket for a values to get the free dining (we'd only be paying about $20 more for value+free dining vs using our DVC points+paying for DDP). Just wondered if I needed to go to a specific resort that offers this special offer or if I could call while I am there?
Also, if I book say a 10 day trip and then later decide to go for 5 days can I change the reservation or would they cancel the whole trip and then rebook (if rooms are available)? Can't wait to go for free dining again! Went this year and loved it! :yay:

I suggest you go to one of the desks, we went to POR. I wanted to make some changes the day after I booked and went through 4 or 5 people on the phone. No one knew what I was talking about :furious: Finally gave up & made a return to POR. We found this to be sooo worth it
We were told you can make changes as long as there is avail. If you are thinking about about 5 days that is what I would book. I imagine it would be easier to INCREASE pkg $ than to try to decrease-could be wrong.

I have plans to drop by the Beach Club and do the booking. They won't have a desk at OKW where I am staying...but I won't be spending a lot of time there anyway.

I understand I can book for myself and then add my parents later on if they want to come, as long as my name stays on the reservation.

This is what I hope to do too. :)

I have also heard that the deposit amount is $200, not the equivalent of one night's stay.

If I am staying 3 nights at CSR and then 4 nights at WL; where would be the easiest place to go to a desk? I believe we were eating dinner at Epcot early one evening and then going to MGM for the Osborne lights... (stop by the BC in between that?)...

I would say stop at BC. Isn't there a number though for those at PC to call and make it over the phone? Or is that only for those staying at PC?

Thanks for all the info on this thread. ;) I just called and booked our stay for the end of December. I told CM Rainbow that we were mainly going to Disney to book this for our trip for next September and she said yes that I could do this. I asked her about booking several rooms and she was very helpful. She pulled up the special and she told me it said that if there are more than 8 in the party to have the guest call the Grand Gathering number while at the resort to book. She was great and took the time to answer all my questions.

I'm so excited now as we are going back to Disney this December. I get to see all the Christmas decorations again! :cool1:

Yes, each of you can book one room on this deal, this is what my wife and I did for next Summer. As we wanted to take my mother along, but have her have her own room. One of you will have to be on each of the rooms.

Hopes this helps.

Does anyone know if you can book more than one room to get this deal? DH and I were thinking about taking a trip in December before this came out and thought we could take advantage of this discount since we are definitely going next September. However, we are going with about 27-30 people. We will need anywhere from 7-8 rooms. If not, we will have to wait to see if they offer it to the general public. From reading on this site and Allearsnet, it looks like only those that go to Disney from now until the end of the year can book this deal.

The CM told me we could book as many rooms as we need. That's why she told me to call Grand Gathering when we're there. When she pulled up the special in her system, it said that for large parties to call that number. :confused3

So do I have to go to one of the 4 locations offering the program, or can I call a ressie number while I'm there?

DH and I just returned from WDW are were able to book 3 rooms under the Bounce Back program. We were at POFQ last Saturday night and booked 2 rooms at that time. We then left for a 4 day cruise on the Disney Wonder and then returned to WDW staying at the CBR for two nights. It was there that we were able to book the last room. If you don't want to go over to one of the desks, you can call and book over the phone. They will verify your current reservation to ensure that you are in fact staying at one of their resorts.

Here's what we got. POFQ 6 nights - 2 adults - 2 teens - 7 day park hoppers (did not go for the water parks or no expiration options) = $2,039.

$200 deposit per room.

I know it depends on who you talk to...but both CM's that I worked with told me that depending on how this one sells - they might not offer anything to the general public later in 2007. I told them that although it was a great offer, I know a lot of people were disappointed that it isn't being advertised in a large way. (I saw nothing about the program while at Disney) and people who were recently at Disney would have utilized the program had they known about it!!

Hi, can you buy the package with only one day ticket as last year? Thanks,VERO.

We will be in WDW for Christmas. We can book this now and then add names later? We would really like to take advantage of this with our family. Some friends of ours are getting married on Aug 10. Is is possible for us to book 2 rooms (one for us one for them) under our name and then change them to one in our name and one in their name later? Can we do this? Is this allowed????? This would be so good for their honeymoon!!!

I got back from the Contemporary on 11/30, and there was a stand up flier in our room about it which I didn't actually notice until our last night, so it's not like it's really standing out or anything. I could definitely see people overlooking it as I almost did! :teeth:
