That makes the most sense since it was Disney that provided a great deal of funding to gentrify the area when they opened their own theater. I, for one, would support that only because as "Disnified" as Times Square has become, it is definitely nicer than what it once was. A number of my friends don't like the look or feel of the new Times Square because it doesn't have the character or feel it once had. My impression is that NYC definitely benefitted from the change because who really needs a section filled with drug dealers, hookers and porn shops?
