Can someone confirm for me, I know I can buy this little sucker from WOD in DTD and get my AP discount - I am led to believe that if you flash your AP card when buying, you also get a free t-shirt for him? Is this only in the parks or would I get one if bought in DTD?

There is a major debate going on about this over on the forums of www.wdwmagic.com - some seem to think that it will update a certain amount of information - to the best of my knowledge the information is transmitted to the device so if it can pick it up, fine! I think this will only apply for info on parades etc, I don't think you'll be able to update games etc.

Do you have one of the older ones? Is it worth having?

Mickey is very cool. I don't think I can justify buying a brand new one as well but I would love to buy his tuxedo separately. Does anyone know if that's possible?

Nick - I do really like my Pal, I don't take him to the parks every day but he was great for amusing my children in line. Be warned, the jokes are very corny!

By all accounts there will be some clothing available - a pin trading outfit, tourist and something else - I think they'll expand it depending on how popular it becomes!

Oh, Karen - we went there LOL. First it was one to share, then two to share then one each. It was easier than starting a "Pal Mickey Rota" ("to make it fair") for each day LOL -- plus, when you can just throw all purchaes on to the room key who cares?! You don't really have to pay it back do you?

We bought a pal micket last year - it was great - hard to hear in the park sometimes - and we turn him on every now and again to hear Mickey's voice!!!

Not very cuddly though!!
