New Package Discount for Disney Visa Holders!

$2398= 9 nights CSR, 7 day base tix, w/dining, 2A 1C
value season (early December) w/o travel insurance

Pretty good deal!

Thanks for the update!

I tried calling this morning and booking it for our December trip, but the CM insisted that I had to buy tickets for the entire length of the stay. We have AP's and she would not let us book just 1 day tickets. She was adamant that the promotion required length of stay tickets. I guess I'll have to call back and try another CM...

We just saved $189 off our 3 nt stay at CSR for this November--was $977, now is $788!! We had no other discounts before this one. :goodvibes

Could you post what is included in your package? I'm trying to figure out the discount. TIA

I currently do not have a Disney Visa, but this may be the perk I needed to get one. Does anyone know if I can apply for one at the time of booking to get this deal or do you already need to have one?

As per Mousesavers: "An immediate deposit is required at time of booking using a Disney Rewards Visa." You would have to call Chase to apply for Disney Visa, not Disney. :)

Woo hoo! I just saved almost $500!!! :Pinkbounc

I've had a room-only at ASMo and was waiting for some kind of package special to come out, as I have planned all along to add on the DDP and 8-day hoppers. We're going at the end of October.

Without a discount, I would have paid $2507 for:
1 preferred room at ASMo during "regular" season for 7 nights
DDP for 2A and 2C
8-day park hoppers for 2A and 2C

Disney Visa Package cost: $2017 for:
1 standard room at Pop during "regular" season for 7 nights (no discount package rooms avail at ASMo)
DDP for 2A and 2C
8-day park hoppers for 2A and 2C

I only cared about preferred at ASMo to get Toy Story; at Pop I'd be happy in any room that's further away from the main building (we plan on mid-day rests / naps, so I want someplace quieter.)

THANK YOU Mousesavers for letting everyone know about the discount!

THANK YOU DISers for all the info along the way and for the detailed reviews of Pop on the Resorts forum - after reading it last night I knew my kids would love it as much as ASMo. :thumbsup2

Yes, I will be proudly wearing my lime green Mickey head paint chips from Home Depot - please say "Hi!" if you see me!!! :bounce:

I just saved $430!

This is what I had:
$3,341
Room-Only Reservation, 10% AAA Discount
10/21-10/27 (7 nights), Poly-GV
$2,591
5-Day ParkHopper Tickets (SO glad I hadn't bought these yet!)
$750

(We aren't doing the DDP)

I got the Disney Visa Package Discount for a total of $2,911.

I had already paid over $2,200 on my room-only reservation with my Disney Visa but Disney will credit that back to my card (within 7-10 business days). I had to pay a $200 deposit on the package reservation I made today (with the Disney Visa of course). When I get my big credit from Disney I will just call and charge that to the package.

Sweeeeet!

Oh, and the CM I got - "Giada" - was super nice!

Debbie

Using the Disney Visa CardHolders Code !!!
Thanks so much to the DIS for keeping me updated !!!
Hey, I am thrilled that our total package price dropped by $400.54.....
Hey, $400 bucks is alot of moo-laaaaa $$$$$$

Doing POR for 7 nights with Dining Plan, Park Hopper, Water Parks etc....

Ahhhhhhh a Nice Way to Start my Day !!

:woohoo: :cheer2: :beach: party: :disrocks: :thanks: :dogdance:

Is it still possible to get the discount if we booked through AAA and have paid off the balance already with a different credit card? Can it be refunded to the original card and placed on the Disney Visa?

Can my AAA TA call to get this discount on top of the package I already have or is it just through Disney CRO?

Just saw on Mousesavers that there is a new discounted package available for Disney Visa holders which should also become available to the general public around Aug 17. It is for travel from Oct 1-Dec 23 (I think) and there are no details yet as to what the offer is. Good luck everyone!

I called to add code to an existing reservation for 1 week POR MYW+dining pkg and saved $550.12! I am so very happy!

Yes, call back! The CM you had was wrong.

My package has a 7-night resort stay but we only need 5-day PHs and the CM I had booked it without missing a beat.

:cool1: :cool1: Got up to call 7am this morning and got the code applied no problem :cool1: :cool1:

before
standard room at POP during value season for 10 nights
10 day park hopper tickets
total: 1890.99

now
same exact package
total: 1552.05

savings of 338.94 so about 33.90 a night

Now I just need a room only discount for my 2 nights room only and I can save another 60 bucks. Go me! Go me! Thank you disney boards!!! I never recieved notification either so I would not have known if I hadn't got on here last night. The funny thing is I had not been on here for 2 days because I was doing some local traveling. Now not being on here for that long is pretty unheard of for me. When I got on here last night I was flipping out thinking the rooms would be gone since some people were already having trouble getting there specific hotel or dates. I'm so glad I wasn't too late and you can bet I won't miss another day on these boards even if it is for a quick scan. I'm glad for the discount but you would sure think disney would let it's card holders know. I went to the disney visa site last night looking for info on this and it had nothing about it.

I was just quoted $2,369.16 for WL Courtyard view Oct. 5-10. 2 adults with MYW park hopping no expiration with dining. We currently have a package booked with free dining for the end of September at CR for $2117. I hope DH will want to stick with that. But he would like to be around for the opening day of archery and he might want to go in October. I would really like to stay at the CR this time though.

I had a CR Garden wing room only booked with AAA discount for 12/9-12/15 for $1646.

I called to change it to this new package and got a couple of different quotes.

CR Garden Wings 12/9-12/15
2 adults and 2 kids
7 day base tickets plus dining
no travel insurance
$3092.90

CR MK View 12/9-12/15
2 adults and 2 kids
7 day base tickets plus dining
no travel insurance
$3734.18

Poly Garden View 12/9-12/15
2 adults and 2 kids
7 day base tickets plus dining
no travel insurance
$3261.62

From the above it looks like it is $40.50 flat of a nightly rate. It that is the case for all deluxes, I guess one could do better with AAA rate for the more expensive rooms.
I wanted the dining, but didn't want to give up the control of the ressie to the AAA agent, so the the CR garden the discount is similar to AAA, but not the same for the more expensive rooms :confused3

I called my local AAA office this morning and was told that I would have to wait until I made my final payment with my Disney Visa credit card, then they could check to see if it was still available or even valid with a AAA discount. I told him that if we wait until the beginning of October (when the final payment is due), I know it won't still be there. I asked if he could please call Disney and check on this code. He said "I guess" and took the code and my phone number and said he would call me back.

Called WDW Travel Company and she gave me a code of ZBF for AAA TA's to use for this discount.

What should I ask for when I call?? The Disney Visa discount?

I currently have a 10 day room only at ASMo for Oct 20-30, for $1062, this is for preferred room.

:confused3
I called last night, as soon as I heard about the discount. CM said there was nothing available for POFQ, just POR. In deluxe, only AK Savannah, YC/BC concierge and BW.

I can't believe there is such a limited number of rooms available... before the public codes even come out!?!!? CM also said, keep trying, sometimes they open up more rooms for discount.

Oh, well, will keep trying!

I don't believe you have to make a final payment on your visa to receive the discount. It's my understanding that you would have to put a $200 deposit on your Disney Visa in order to use the code. Check with Disney directly then call your AAA TA back and explain it to her. I had to do this on another situation with my AAA TA. Some don't know as much as we hoped they would. Double check but I don't think your TA is correct. I wouldn't want you to miss out on saving money on the error of your TA!

Good luck!

BLakely

I just put a hold on for Pop Oct 7-12. with 1 day MYW passes it is 481.65. Sounds great to me.

UGH! This would be so disappointing since we are at the WL Nov. 18-24. I was hopeing for the discount. Maybe when the GP code comes out later this week they will release more rooms. Try back using the GP code. Maybe they are pushing to sell out rooms that are not yet booked first, then open up to exisitng ressies. Let's all hope!

Just changed my package - we are staying at the PORiverside. We had a price of $1811 which included water view, 5 day hoppers and the dining plan (a little steep for basically 4 days ...) and so with the new discount (disney visa) - we had to switch to a "standard" view room (no water discounts available) and the price dropped to $1554 - so a savings of $257 approx.

I guess that's pretty good ??
