New Owner Use Year Question

My husband and I just joined DVC last month. We bought a SSR resale with no 2010 points left and a February UY that starts Feb 2011. Can we borrow 2011 points and use them now?

be aware that borrowing is a final transaction just like banking.

when you borrow pts from your 2011 UY into your 2010 UY, you can't put them back into 2011 if you wind up cancelling or changing plans. once borrowed, your 2011 pts will expire on jan 31, 2011 if you don't use them for a stay on or before that date.
