We had gotten a trailer that we could not tow with our jeep and just kept it at a pretty, quiet, rustick campsite owned by the RV dealer about an hour from home. Well, after 2 yrs. that has grown old, we want to TRAVEL...so today we traded it for a Coachmen Freelander 260DS!!! FW is on our short list of places to go...the long list includes Montana, CA, Grand Canyon....not sure where we will go first, maybe Cape Cod.

Welcome to the Camping Board!! You will LOVE Fort Wilderness!! :cool1:

Congrats! This will be our first time at FW, but we did go to Cape Cod two years ago. In fact we went through much of MA. Started in the southern part and ended up far north in Salisbury. This was our favorite trip (well, we'll see after our Nov/Dec FW adventure). Enjoy!

Thank y ou!

Laura, do you take the Bassetts with you? We have a bulldog named Winnie...main reason we don't do hotels!

We traded in our pop-up two years ago for a motorhome. What a difference! You will love it. Our dog even has his own bed (under the dining table.) Fits perfect and he travels in comfort too! Fort Wilderness is one of the best campgrounds we have ever been too...and we have traveled extensively the past two years. For me, a Disney nut, it is home sweet home.

Have fun with your new toy!

Pam

My husband and I are thinking of moving up to a motor home. How much air do the trucks push at you...do you still feel it alot? like the sway with a tt? How do you decide class C or A? (Lewis family helped with this one on another thread-thanks) diesel or gas? so both of you drive? how much room do you have to walk when your slide outs are pushed in when you are traveling? any ideas would be helpful...we have looked but that is as far as we have gone..thanks
