That's the day we're planning on going....have reservations for both 50s Cafe and Mama Melrose...cant' decide which one to keep. I would love 50s cafe, but because I have the dining plan, I want to juice the mother out of it and Mama would be more $$$... I really hope it's not bad...we will probably be there all day, unless we decide for a park break and skip the 3pm parade.

Did you mean Beauty and the Beast, or did I miss a new Sleeping Beauty show?

And to join teh pitty party, I feel like I'm getting sick agan with a cold, my DH has HBP and they may be adjusting his meds...I told him i'll be leaving he sorry butt behind if he slows me down!

How do you plan on telling them? Will you tell them the day of or the night before? I think we're going for the night before.

We are waiting until the morning because our flight isn't until 14:20 so they'll have time to pack their carry-on cases before leaving. They aren't great at sleeping when they're excited (except Christmas eve when they sleep like its any normal day?!?!?) and definitely won't eat so we are waiting until they've had a full nights sleep and a good breakfast before doing a little treasure/scavenger hunt with them (we won't get to POR until around 00:30-01:00

I do them every couple of months just for fun so they won't think it's weird but instead of their usual treasure check at the end they'll find their Buzz cases with the "I'm going to Disney World today" t-shirts inside.

Ugh- I am getting frustrated with the fact that I have done all the planning and all the packing for my family- as well as the planning of everything for my in-laws and sister-in law's family and today I called my MIL to ask for 1 thing (a plastic table cloth) and you would have thought I was asking for the moon!!!!!! I dont expect people to bow down to me and say thank you but some form of an acknowledgement would be nice. Furthermore, maybe asking something like "can I help with anything?" would show that you have the slightest bit of appreciation for all the time I have put into this . Ok- I just had to vent for a moment. Now I have to remind myself that I am doing this for my kids and that it will all be worth it in the long run. I am just tired right now from packing, planning, cleaning, parenting, etc. Consider this pity party over!

Venting is good. Now relax & get ready for some Pixie Dust. Breathe. Remember it's for the kids.

By the way, the app seems to be improving. This time the reservation for BOG I made this morning showed up on the My Plans section without me having to enter it manually. I put it in my calendar with confirmation number just in case!

This made me laugh. We are telling our daughter on Friday evening that we are leaving in Sunday morning so that she can hopefully sleep on Saturday night. If we waited and told her on Saturday, there'd be no chance!

My boys are weird - Christmas eve when every other kid is struggling to get to sleep with excitement they are out like a light - if I tell them we're having lunch with their Auntie (who we see at least once a week!) they're bouncing off the walls with excitement!!
I can't risk a long day without sleeping - for their own safety!

We got the dining plan for the first time and I agree with you about getting the most value out of it.

I am finally done with work! No more work until 2/11/13 and 2/1-7 at Disney World! That will be the longest vacation I have had in...well probably at least ten years. The longest I've been gone from this job is 4 days. I am really, really glad. Love my job, but want to have some fun time. Found some cheap comfy pants. Dog to kennel and packing tomorrow. Oh, joy!

We are surprising ours today today too, and we leave today. If we told them last night they would not sleep. And they need their sleep! So do I but some how I am up at 4:30am.

Anyone doing the Fantasmic show early February? What should I expect as far as lines? I didn't get the dinner package since they only had lunch available...Wonder how the lines will be...should I get in line a whole hour before or 30 mins will suffice?

Also, what is the word on teh Beauty and the Beast and Tea Cups?

The tea cups will be closed 4/10 - 5/22 - not during February as originally planned. I haven't seen anything concrete about a closure of Beauty ant the Beast.

I was able to get a BOG ressie last night for 2/3 at 9:00...been checking everyday since October. I'm so over the moon! That was my one regret for meals for the whole trip, and I finally snagged it! We fly to Disney on Saturday, but are staying at a hotel near the airport tomorrow for our early morning flight. It can't come soon enough.

I've been busy and doing ok with the waiting but I am creeping up on 3 weeks and all I want is for it to be time to go!!! I'm like a little kid!

We're having a nice dinner out on Friday and dh said to book any tour or special thing I wanted for our Disney trip (within reason) and I can't think of anything

I think it might be too late for most things I am interested in (Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage mostly), and I am not sure I want to do any tours. I know that sounds whiny but I really don't know what I'd like to do. Any suggestions at this late date? We've already seen Cirque and while it was wonderful I wouldn't feel right spending that much to go again. I am just stumped.

Just need to pack a few little things and then I can load up the truck and we'll be all ready to wake up bright and EARLY tomorrow morning

Thanks everyone for supporting me and my pity party. We leave tomorrow after the kids are finished with school and have our first Disney Experience at Downtown Disney on 2/3. We are not going to the parks the first day but will go to t-rex cafe. I can't believe it is almost here!

Target or Meijer - there were a bunch of them in different sizes in the office area. Kind of where the pens/pencils/planners and stuff are.
