People say avoid them because they get busy so that's why Disney haven't cancelled it because people do use them.

When it was just DH and I we used to quiet often take advantage of EMH PM when parks were open till 12 or 1 in the morning.

i've been doing a lot of reading, like A LOT, and i am just wondering something now. what is the point of EMH if everyone avoids them like the plague? i'm starting to wonder why disney doesn't just cancel them altogether because practically everyone on here says STAY AWAY!!!! and i was totally pumped to stay at a disney resort so i could take advantage of them! (which i am anyways, because my days are all planned out and it's too late to change!)

does anyone actually have anything good to say about EMH? i'd like some positive feedback LOL

Last Sept we took advantage of EP evening EMH. It was so amazing. Everyone else fighting to get out and we haut wandered around WS taking pictures and enjoyed the emptiness. It was deserted!! We had the best time!!

The funny thing is, I've utilized the early and late EMH's at various times, and DURING that extra 1 hr before or 2 hours after it's always pretty slow! But because that is the "chosen park of the day" I think a lot of resort users think Disney wants you to go there that day or something and it does tend to make the rest of that day more busy. Add those resort goers to the general public crowd and it will raise the level.

Even though DIS and similar boards have tons of readers/users, I doubt us "pro's" (haha) make up more than 5-10% of the daily WDW visitor count. I still think Feb has lower crowds in general. If this were June I'd make a different decision and avoid the EMH parks. I'm going to avoid Fantasyland for sure on Saturday the 2nd and hit it at rope drop on Tuesday instead. Above all we're going to have fun and not stress this time dangit lol. It's Disney, if it's not fun you're doing it wrong :wizard:

The info is from Touring Plans and technically not allowed to be posted on the boards since people pay for that information.

You're right. I was thinking that it's soon enough now that the recent stuff is available to the public but it's not.

I bought a subscription to TP months ago and FORGOT! I took a chance yesterday, and logged in and voila...I'm in!

I had SO much fun making personalized touring plans based on what rides we want and don't want, etc. It was actually pretty cool. The site is a little stubborn and I had to re-input my info once or twice, but it was still neat to try out. Now, if we use them the question will be.... does it really save you time and energy :confused3

I guess I'll find out soon enough (trip is in 13  days!!!!).

thank you! Seems like a mild cold with a bad throat infection because i'm starting to lose my voice again...get laryngitis quite often...Tylenol has been my friend these past two days...keeps it manageable.

So...NO prints aside from the Character Meals.

I would get rights for the ride pictures...What about BBB? THey offer a package with the photos, but we're only doing the basic since we have all our dresses and accesories already...they'll take the pictures and print for us there?

We're doing CRT but that already includes the pictures...

So I'd be getting prints for Crystal Palace, Tusker House and BBB?
And the right so spend more money to have the other printed? :rotfl:
If I may ask, what is the average cost for the ride pictures? Character pictures?

I'm tempted to get it just to make sure I get great pictures with ME in them...but its ridiculously expensive to pay so much to have your picture taken!

I can't remember the exact cost, but I feel like I paid around $25 or $30 for the photo package at Tusker House (8x10 and a few 5x7s). I think the ride photos are around $15ish or so.

People without park hoppers tend to go to the EMH parks to get the longest day they can with their ticket, which is why it tends to be more crowded and is the park to avoid.

so sat night, temps to be -27 deg, with wind chills driving it to 50 below or worse.
13 days to go until WDW. keep thinking happy thoughts.................:rolleyes2

does anyone know if Beauty/Beast is playing on feb6th. some sites show it closed, others show it open. My DD13 really wants to see it (we never miss Aladin when we go to DL). Also, is it risky to stand in line for Fantasmic? How early do we need to get there, if crowd levels are predicted to be 3??

It's a brisk 21 degrees here in PA. I have to force myself not to look at the Accuweather for FL. But even if it's mid 60s there, still warmer then here.
I'm thinking those of us who are going the earlier part of the month shouldn't have to stress out about crowds as much??? (please let me be right)

I am putting together outfits for the trip. What is your take on Sweatpants?? I have cute sweatpants from Hollister and just curious if they are acceptable. Disney Do, Disney Don't?!?!

I'm planning on taking advantage of some EMH. We are adults, so can get up early for rope drop. But during our low crowd early feb visit park hours are pretty short. We arrive late afternoon friday Feb 1. Epcot EMH Makes that park open til 11 (latest park that night), so we will go there, do some rides that have relatively short lines, and eat and drink. My hubby will need to stop and feed frequently during his waking hours, so the amount of time spent eating is pretty fixed for us, even using counter service.

I have been rather obsessively watching three park line apps several times a day for past three months (Disney experience, Disney magic and the undercover tourist one). During busy times, like thanksgiving and Xmas week, daytime at EMH parks is notably busier however, early am and late night not as bad. Lately, during the very low crowd times, even on the "red park" days, lines and wait times aren't too bad, so it probably depends on your needs. If you want to ride TSM and the big thrill rides multiple times during afternoon hours, lower crowd parks are prob best bet. But I think for us, riding the big ticket stuff early and then having enough time to eat, wander around, take pic, ride monorail and the other low wait time rides we enjoy at a leisurely pace makes a couple days of EMH worthwhile.

I'm planning to do AK on an EMH day and then, go to MK. I figured we'd leave around lunch time. Its just my son and I, so we're really just going to ride a few things and leave.

I just booked a Wishes Dessert Party for the last week of Feb.!!!! So excited - its the first time I've done this.

Just checked Epcot times today. Friday, EMH 9-11 not recommended. At 2 pm EST, Soarin and Test track both have long lines but fastpass available, but everything else is 25 min or less. As I'm planning on also doing Epcot on 2/2, (recommended day) I will do those two at park open on my second day, then have tons of time to wander about and check out the Land, Seas, cap'n EO (enjoyed it in 1988... Know it's cheesy, and it will probably be gone for good by the next time we can visit!

I think it's a "Disney Maybe". Depends a lot on the actual sweats, what you pair them with, and where you're going. For example, maybe not where them to a TS restaurant. I dunno.... I could be wrong. But then I live in an area where half of the women seem to think it's okay to go out in public in Spongebob sleep-pants :rolleyes2 LOL.

Lol. Thanks! That's my frame of mind too. I love to people watch in the stores Down here for that reason. They go shopping with pajamas, slippers and a shower cap!! ROTFL...
The pants are sweat material but not like jogging pants. I would never wear them to a TS meal. We like to wear our best to meals. Lol. Well I guess I'll bring them as an emergency situation like if we get caught in rain. Don't want to have to do laundry ya know.

:thumbsup2 My feeling as well. Totally depends on the pants.

My girlfriend wore an outfit from the Old Navy lounge department the other day and I thought it was an adorable, casual/comfy outfit. We went out to eat and it didn't look out of place. Granted, I think they were just black.

I think if you're okay with wearing them out in public regularly, it'd be fine. Keeping in mind that the above mentioned sleeping pants are a total NO don't do that in the parks from me :lmao:

And nude leggings.... never nude leggings.

I have never found it necessary to stand in line. We always wait to walk in when they open up. Sometimes we sit faaaaarrrrrrrr to the left in the theatre, but always get a seat.

Even if you dress nicer for TS meals, don't expect that most patrons will. The dress requirement is park casual and most people wear whatever they are playing in that day. There are very few exceptions (like V&A). I have lived in Austin for 20 years now where most everyone dresses casual all the time and it is quite a pleasant relief to travel north to see people dress to go out.

Time for a happy dance!!! Where is the dancing banana? 2 weeks until DD's wedding and 19 days until we arrive at MCO!!!!:cheer2:

Got a DME luggage tag in the mail today. That was fun:cheer2:

I completely forgot I had my mom signed up for that. Maybe that means my Mickey Mail will be here tomorrow or early next week! Yeah buddy!

What app are you using which tells fast pass availability? The one I have (WDW Waits, I think) just has wait times.
