Well, our Christmas surprise was kind of a bust. I can't blame them - everyone in the family buys so much stuff they were just on present overload.

I didn't even get a 'yay!' with the big reveal! Earlier that week my Disney debit card came and when I opened it my oldest screamed and jumped up and down.... where was that yesterday?!

Oh well. I'M EXCITED. So there.

I'm sure they'll get more and more excited as time goes on and we keep talking about it!

Aww, did you get their reaction on camera? when they're older they'll probably be like "what were we thinking!!"

Starting to take down the decorations and it hit me--I'm going to Disney soon!! it's starting to feel real now that Christmas is over!

We are planning a trip from Feb. 24th-March 2nd, offsite We have DVC, but not enough points to get a 2 bedroom, which we would need since my parents and my brother are joining us. So, we decided to give them our stay at DVC and we would use our RCI points offsite, so they could have the "Disney experience" We've been a lot in the past, and they've only been one other time. Speaking of which, the first time they went, which was 1982, they only took my brothers since I was only 1 at the time. I've been dying to go with them for 30 years now My dad promised me a trip several times, but it just never happened. And to my surprise, last night(Christmas) he said, "let's go!" I'm still in shock! Needless, to say I am SUPER EXCITED!!

I had the father in law snapping back to back pictures... but I think he stopped when he realized it was going downhill thinking I would be upset I'm such a planner, Type A personality... I kind of surprised myself that I didn't burst into tears after such a long wait to tell them!

aaarcher86, I am sorry they didn't react so well. If it makes you feel any better, I think my kids would be the same. They reacted wonderfully to their surprise trip a few years ago, but we told them at dinner on a random weeknight. They would be too overwhelmed on Christmas morning for it to sink in. They will get more and more excited over the next few days I bet!

As for me, I am now in full Disney anticipation mode. Christmas is done.. bring on the trip!
My parents got dh and I Bestbuy giftcards for Christmas. We decided to split them in half and get what we wanted. So he got a new video card for the computer and I got a new much needed camera. It's the Canon SX260hs. Just a point and shoot.. but a nice one! I am so excited to use it on our trip! 59 days to go!!

My December trip has ended and now looking forward to February. I made my ADR's at our favorite places and some new ones for the next trip. I also snagged a BOG reservation for April...that has nothing to do with this next trip.

It was really the only way it would work We LOVE DVC!! It is really amazing! We had another time-share before DVC and it stinks so bad now that we have DVC! I mean, come on...you can't compete with Disney!

No one has really talked about an official meet; just sharing dates and info at this point.

Did you try to trade your RCI points into Disney?

Two years ago my FIL gave us his RCI points and I was able to book a 1 bdrm at the Boardwalk Villas!

We will be at POR 6-14th!! Me, fiancé and our 4yr old twin boys (their first trip!!)
We aren't telling them until the morning we are leaving, and we're doing a scavenger hunt as their 'big reveal' - I can't wait.

We've been several times but have never stayed on-site so we're very excited. We only booked two weeks ago so the only ADR we have managed to get is for T-Rex, which is fine because it's the only place the boys have ever mentioned wanting to go to!!

Our families are a bit upset with us because we didn't invite any of them to come with us, but it's our first proper family vacation and our pre-wedding honeymoon too!!

Leaving minus temperatures and lots of snow is going to be wonderful!! Hurry up February!!!

So we surprised our kiddos on Christmas day with a bit of an elaborate scavenger hunt revealing a February trip to Disney World!!

We will also surprise the kids just a few days before we leave that grandma (mil) is going with us.

We are Driving from TX on Feb. 1st, arriving off-site (Formosa Gardens) on the 2nd and staying till the 10th!!
Yes, I'm that crazy to drive with 4 kids (8,6,5 & 1), and with my MIL, all the way from TX to DW!

I know its a long shot, but I'd love to know if anyone else is driving from TX on the same days. I might need a ride
