*** New Official February 2013 Thread ***

So excited!!! We are headed back to Disney in February to celebrate my son's fourth birthday. We went last year the same time and celebrated his third birthday!! So much fun!! Anyway we will be there Feb 23rd-Mar 2nd. We are staying off property this year at Bonnett Creek. Last year we got some extra pixie dusts sprinkled on us...we were booked for a Royal Room at Port Orleans Riverside, the were not completed, so Disney upgraded us to the Polynesian Resort. It was a great vacation!! I am looking forward to our vacation in 2013 as well. Gotta get my countdown calendar made and plan our Disney Movie nights!!!:cool1:

We got that same pixie dust. The bug bit and we are reserved for poly this feb:cool1::cool1:

Hi everyone! I'm new to these boards. I am registered for the Princess Half Marathon on Feb 24. It's my first half and first RunDisney event. I'll be staying Feb 22-26. And one of the best parts is this is a mommy vacation! Hubby will be staying at home with the kids, so it's girls only. We're booked at AoA in the LK area. I'm so excited and once again facing the problem of playing the waiting game lol.

:welcome: Got you added to the list. A girls only trip, how fun!!

:welcome: Got you added to the list. Wow thats awesome you got upgraded to the Poly last year! I have never been there that time of year. I am planning beginning of Feb. How were the crowds and weather when you were there? I have been doing Disney movie nights also. They are so much fun!! :yay:

I have dates for my February trip! Just... Not a hotel haha. It's been tough planning so I'm glad to at least have dates! We're thinking ASMo from February 23-27. So I'm still resort tbd but I got dates!

Glad you got your dates decided. Thats one step closer!! I got your dates added to the roll call. Once you have your resort picked, I will change it again.

The weather was awesome and the crowds were low during the week and on the weekends picked up but still not bad at all. We really enjoyed it and that is why we decided to go back again next year at this time!!

Awesome!!! We stayed there for our honeymoon back in 2004 and then again this year. It is a beautiful resort, but we decided this trip to try something off site....I am sure we will be back again!!! Have a great time! One thing my husband did say though was we had to have dinner at O'hana's!! Love that place!:)

Welcome to all of the new faces!

I've got my restaurants sorted out for ADR's. I just wish they would hurry up with the EMH and calendar for Feb. Unless they came out today, I spent all afternoon focused on studying and a test so I haven't checked yet today.

On my list are:
Tusker House lunch
O'hana breakfast
O'hana dinner
Hollywood Brown Derby (Fantastic! Package)
Crystal Palace breakfast
Akershus lunch
Tutto Italia

We will be on the dining plan (hoping for free, but paying for it anyway if not).

after looking at flights, I will save hundreds if I fly out earlier in the day (was not going to take the kids out if school that day). I may end up arriving much earlier than planned. If I do I think I will add Boatwright's (we are at POR) or maybe Raglan Rd at DTD for an out of pocket meal that night. Since we were going to arrive late I was using that extra TS credit for the 2 credit meal at DHS.

And please excuse any typos. My phone keyboard's autocorrect has gone insane over the last month out so. I think there was a swype update or something and it doesn't like me, or what I have to say.

Just made our ressies for our first winter trip to the World! :woohoo:

I'm a little nervous about weather but we've celebrated both my DD's and DH's birthdays on previous trips so my other DD and me think it's time to be in WDW for our February birthdays (she turns 5 on Feb. 4th and I turn 40ish on Feb. 5th.

We are booked for AoA, LM rooms from Jan. 31st - Feb. 8th. VERY excited, although I'm willing to switch for FD if necessary. We'll have to wait for the math.

I'm eagerly awaiting :surfweb: the EMH reveal like everyone else here. We usually don't plan this far in advance so I'm really excited about getting primo ADRs!

You picked some good restaurants! Crystal Palace and O'Hana are my 2 favorites!!

:welcome: Got you added to the list. :) I will be there the same time also staying at AoA. I am a little concerned about the weather also. I have never been that time of year and heard it could go either way. Just hoping for a mild winter. I will also change dates to get FD. I usually only go when I can get FD.

What are you must do places to eat when you are at the World?

My must do's are Crystal Palace for breakfast and O'Hana for dinner. This time I am also trying O'Hana for breakfast becasue I heard such great things about their breakfast and my one son loves Lilo and Stitch! We also love going to the Hoop Dee Doo, but not sure we will do it this trip because we will have a 6 month old with us.

The other restaurants I have on my list so far are:

San Angel
Sci-Fi
Coral Reef ???
Chefs De France ???
Chef Mickey's (have been here before and thought it was OK food, but the kids like it)

Oh I love this and am joining in!!

Going to WDW with DD (age 6) and DH who is going to be turning 50 on 2/9. We're booked at the Contemporary (first time attempting to stay at a Deluxe) with lots of prayer for FD, discounts or even a pin to help bring the cost down, or we may have to switch back to a moderate.

Last time we flew in the wintertime, it was terrifying (and I hate flying to begin with) so hoping Disney's pixie dust keeps the weather decent when we're flying out...flying back home, I hope there's a week long snowstorm that keeps us from leaving.

Our top ADR'S is the Coral Reef, Crystal Palace, Ohanas and 1900 SF.

My ADR wish list is as follows

1900 PF -dinner on arrival day - DD's pick
Be Our Guest - dinner
Liberty Tree Tavern - dinner (or maybe Tony's)
Coral Reef - dinner
MaMa Melrose Fantasmic package
Captains Grille - dinner
Rose & Crown - dinner (we always book dinner here on our last night to see Illuminations)

Jumping in! I think I was posting in a different Feb 2013 thread.

We are planning on 2/9-2/16 at CBR. I was waffling between AOA in a Cars Suite and CBR and then decided we didn't need to spend the extra money on a suite, really. Hoping for FD and itching to make ADRs! Heck, I haven't even booked our resort, actually. Hoping to finally tackle that tomorrow.

We went at the same time in 2011 and it was great. The weather was PERFECT. Maybe a little chilly in the morning, but nice and warm in the afternoon. We swam two days. I don't remember it raining at all. The crowds were very low. It will be hard to convince me to go at any other time of the year from now on!

I subscribed to this thread figuring y'all will know about the EMH before I do. ;)

Just booked our reservations at BLT. We are now just going to be there from 2/21-2/26. Super excited.

Now to concentrate on getting more concrete plans together.

Dining that I know for sure we will do:
Ohana breakfast
Chef Mickey's
Primetime cafe
Cinderella's Castle or Akershus

I'm pretty much set with my choices and the only trouble I'm having is deciding between CG and Narcoossee's.

Here are my picks:

Narcoossee's/California Grill for dinner.
Columbia Harbor
Be Our Guest
Starring Rolls and Pizza Planet for dinner.
Tutto Italia
Akershus and La Cantina De San Angel
Tusker House Breakfast and Flame Tree Barbecue
BOG and Pinocchio Village Haus.
Tutto Gusto
Yak & Yeti
Chef Mickey's, BOG and the Dessert Party

:wave2: Will be there February 3-9 (unless flights are cheaper a day early/late). So excited to be going back! Staying in a mod for the 1st time - Coronado Springs.
