Us, too! We're thinking February because the crowds are so low...but I'd love some warmer temps. Free dining would talk my husband into an earlier trip.

If they come out with FD do I have to cancel and re-book is that how it works? Is it usually 5 nights stay to get FD? I am not 45 days out until mid Aug.

yes, you have to cancel and rebook. my inlaws only stayed for 3 nights and got the fd, i believe that's the min. unless stated otherwise.

No, you should be able to just modify your current reservation if there is free dining availability and keep the same confirmation number and the deposit would already be on there....

If i already have my flight booked through disney does that need to be re booked?

Nothing is impossible but I think that at this point, it is highly unlikely that free dining will be offered for that time period.

I would suggest calling and asking if you have a PIN attached to your name. A bunch of us on the July thread called and we had free dining PINS on our names for the summer! Unfortunately, a % discount is a better deal for us. I wish I could share my PIN

So, would anyone care to guess when they'll announce it? I have a lot of faith in Len's tweet (he's been right in the past) but the last couple of times, he tweeted on a Friday and it was announced on a Tuesday (I think).

Any possible dates come to mind?

Ok, forgive me please, but the free dining talk, is it the same some of us were offered back in march? quick service for the values and mods? that's what I was able to book for our october trip. no offense but I was a little disappointed with it. Glad we were offered free dining but the past 3 years the dining promotion has been better.

No way to know. But I'd wager that's what it will be. Changes to the typical general public offering are typically preceded by changes in their PIN Code offerings. I knew the deal we had in 09 was too good to last....... full dining for free at a value resort. There were 4 of us in that room. The value of the dining plan was worth more than what we paid for the room. I told my husband that according to Disney math, they were paying US to come visit!

NO, you do not have to rebook. I have added a free dininig code to an existing reservation for the last three years and have never had to rebook. You can call and ask them to apply the code to your reservation and your reservation number will stay the same. In 2007 we even had to switch from All-Star Movies to POP because All-Star Movies was out of standard rooms and we still didn't have to rebook and our reservation number still stayed the same.

In the past a free dining reservation has always had a 3 night minimum and a 14 day maximum. Starting last year they also required a 2 day minimum base ticket with the free dinining package.

Thanks for the offer! Oh how I wish that I could use your PIN! I've called several times and so has DH and we've had no luck what so ever! It seems like we'd be the perfect target for them, since we're Disneyland regulars, and would have to fly from Arizona. So far no one will give us a deal or anything go figure

If this is ture. Disney will be getting more money from us. We will upgrade to a moderate if the QSDP is offered there. We pefer the QSDP over the regular plan. It just works better for us.

They will also get a little more money from us as we would upgrade to AKL. Want to stay there really bad and only can by budget if FD or 40% comes for us. Party of 8, 4 adults, 4 kids, but one kid is 12 so counts for adult on dining. We have two rooms. COME ON FD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have a free dining PIN on my name but it's only good on stays through august 13th...
i need it after that date so i'm hoping they come out with FD for the second half of august...
