New Offer Coming per Touring Plans (Free Dining)

Thanks goodness! This is the news I have been wishing for.

Today is my 45 day mark for our June 8th trip. I tried to call one last time in hopes for any type of discount as we don't have any. The CM was sooo nice (compared to sooo many in the past). Of course, there were no pins, nadda for us. The CM sounded very on point and expressed to me twice that I NEEDED to check the Disney website daily for updates in the "specials" section. She then asked for my email twice to confirm that the one provided was accurate.

I'm totally not getting my hopes up as I can't imagine they would do a discount for trips that are right around the corner. But, if I was a gambling woman I would surely put a bet down on the conversation/tone this CM had. She assured me up until the last day that they would apply ANY discount that is available for my trip. Sooooo, please let something come our way otherwise we will not be getting anything extra in the parks.

This is my concern as well. We have decided when we are going (flight booked), since we know when we can go due to work. However since no discounts are offered yet, we are waiting to book. I'd rather book online, and not have to bother calling for a discount to be applied to regular rates. We're still willing to wait a little longer before booking. Here's hoping that a discount (either on room or free dining) for late October will be coming soon...

We are in the same boat. Right now I'm booked at the Swan for late Aug. but I'm hoping for a good discount so we can switch to the Poly. Dh has always wanted to stay & we'd love to surprise the kids there but even the AAA rate chokes me.


We've never done any dining plan, free or otherwise. I have a couple ADRs already booked online. Can I just keep those or do they have to be booked as part of the plan with a known conf. #?

now I have a chance to get the BB promo, 30% off mod, 40% off Deluxe, 45%Deluxe Villas, now some are saying FD is coming out....

If we decide to stay at the CSR or any Moderate, the FD is the best offer, QSDP is $35 off per person per day..(I doubt it will be the DDP but it would be lovely) and we will upgrade to the DxDP no matter what....if we decide to do BWI, BCV, AKL or WL, the 40%-45% off is the better deal............

Not on every level. We went ahead and booked for early October and booked the dining plan so we could make ADRs for HDDR without putting it on the cc. NOt getting free dining is not a deal breaker; we're going regardless. But all fingers crossed that we'll be .

We would love to have free dining for our trip, but its not a deal breaker if they don't offer it this fall. Hopefully there would still be another discount offered to take advantage of.

Last year was 3 nights and a 2 day ticket to the parks.

if you have a reservation/dining plan, you don't need a credit card hold for HDDR?

You need one to hold the ADR, but without it, they charge your cc immediately.

you had to get 5 nights for FD and moderates were on QS FD as well as the value resorts, only deluxe got the regular FD.

Exactly! We are going regardless and booked with a room discount pin. FD would save us more $$ and I've been hoping it will come, but my ADRs for Sept are all booked exactly as I want them. I hate to think what it will be like tryingt o get ADRs when/if FD comes! Having to change resorts wouldn't be the end of the world IMO.

Do you think it is for the fall or part of summer? Just curious how summer crowds are booking right now.

I suspect the dates will be for fd booking from around August 15 - October 1, 2011. They may also release select fd dates from October - December, but I think that will come later, most likely in the summer. I guess we shall see . . . .
