New Offer Coming per Touring Plans (Free Dining)

Not until now:goodvibes:thumbsup2
I have said more than a few times in the past few months on this board not to get excited because there were no credible internet rumors like in the past years.. which was generally the biggest indicator of Free Dining.

That being said.. *ahem*.. GET EXCITED FOLKS. This is the rumor you've been waiting for.

I hope so!!! I have a GP pin booked from Aug 16 til Aug 27 at POP. I added DDP before the code expired. If and when they announce I can adjust the dates. Now, I know, that DS doesn't start school until Aug 31, I figure the later in Aug I can go the better.
This is the Tweet heard around the "World".
:cool1::cool1:
Touring Plans hasn't bothered to tweet about any other PIN codes (and there has been MANY). I think it's going to be a GP offer.

I agree people have been posting all kinds of pins both good(FD until Aug 13) and not so good (10% of rack rates) for awhile and nothing about it from TP.

So does anyone have any guesses for date for this to be announced. Now for the waiting game.:surfweb::dance3::cheer2:popcorn::

I hope they announce it soon only because I haven't booked airfare yet and if I wait any longer the flights for the two of us will be more than the trip.

and I'm more hopeful, now. Thanks. Hopefully, it will go through the end of the year for all.

I'm excited for you too!! I'll cross my fingers for you. I actually don't need free dining this year and I'm still caught up in the anticipation!:rotfl:

I am hoping for free dining for Thanksgiving. I went ahead and made my resort ressie just in case!

If lots of people start booking in anticipation, do you think WDW will still offer a discount since nothing official has come out yet?

That's my concern, too - the rumor is that the offer comes out prior to a quarterly review, right? To make the bottom line look good? Seems to me the rumor of an offer might do just as well! I am going to wait. A few years ago when we all knew the 7 for 4 + $300 (or whatever it was) in Disney dollars was coming out, I had no trouble booking the minute it did.

This is my concern as well. We have decided when we are going (flight booked), since we know when we can go due to work. However since no discounts are offered yet, we are waiting to book. I'd rather book online, and not have to bother calling for a discount to be applied to regular rates. We're still willing to wait a little longer before booking. Here's hoping that a discount (either on room or free dining) for late October will be coming soon...

That has always been a concern. On one hand I agree. On the other hand I think that A. Disney probably anticipates the people who book just for the promo. And B. those people aren't any more guaranteed to get what they want than anyone else calling in that day. Only so many rooms are offered for the promotion and it doesn't get you any further ahead to book ahead of time. If there's nothing available in the resort/catergory that you want you will have to switch.
Reservation or not, everyone is going to be calling in at the same time.

And C. I think you have a slighter edge if you DON'T book ahead of time. Then you can hop online and book when it is released to the GP instead of waiting on the phone forever and ever.

So really.. it makes more sense not to book ahead of time on just about every level.. but it doesn't stop people from doing it every year anyway.

Not on every level. We went ahead and booked for early October and booked the dining plan so we could make ADRs for HDDR without putting it on the cc. NOt getting free dining is not a deal breaker; we're going regardless. But all fingers crossed that we'll be :banana::banana:.

"just about every level"... except if you want to book a 2TS without putting it on your credit card;)

I agree if you are going to go anyway and use the dining plan then you might as well book.:)
