I haven't heard any rumblings of PP going away via internal people. Not saying it won't happen, but it wasn't mentioned at all and was stressed that PP was going to stay the same during talks of Memory Maker coming out.

I think that PP+ is what is being replaced by Memory Maker.

I had the pre-arrival PP+ in my shopping cart from awhile back. I was waiting until closer to our trip to actually purchase. It was still in my cart when I checked today so I went ahead and completed my order. It went through and I received the purchase confirmation. Hope everything will be ok!

I purchased Photopass Plus yesterday afternoon having no idea of this new Memory maker Program..there are 12 of us on 4 different reservations..I hope we can use our magic bands in place of the special card, but I also hope they will all be tied together...hoping to hear from someone before 12.21-which is our trip date as to how the photopass plus and memory maker work together...

It is. The post I quoted was saying PP was going away but all my information says PP is staying the same and PP+ is now MM.

I wonder if that means those of us with photo pass plus just purchased (just got email mine has shipped) will not have a limitation of 14 days to use the package. Our trip is actually 15.5 days...

We're travelling with my sister and her family. Different reservations, but we're travelling together. It was always our intention to share the cost of a PhotoPass + like we have in past years. Since Memory Maker is now tied to your MagicBand (read: Reservation), does that mean there will be no more sharing?

This is my concern, as well. The cost isn't worth it to us (just me and my husband, no kids) unless we can share it with our travel companions, who are under a different reservation. Our reservations are linked via MDE, so hopefully that means our photo accounts would be connected as well. :confused3

See I don't like that it seems to be only download. Looks like it is $169 on top of the 149 if you want the CD.

The only reason I pre purchased pp+ was for the cd. If they won't honour this are they likely to refund my money? I had to pay 15 usd for shipping the paperwork and 400 attractions cd already too!

Counting down to 14th May!

I'm confused - I just bought PP+ a few days ago. We have our trip planned for 12-19. Do I have to do anything different now that it has changed into MM?

I purchased the PP+ for the additional dining and ride pictures. As far as I can tell that is still included.

Do I have to tie anything back to our magic bands?

We have a trip during Marathon weekend as well and had hoped to use the PP+ we purchased for this trip for that weekend as well - will this still be possible with MM?

From the official site

I wish there was a ** footnote, there is just a * one.. I am going to be very disappointed if I have to physically download all of the images and you dont get a CD / DVD even a USB drive would be cool... And if I dont get a real copy of them, they should NOT be deleted..

It seems to me that disers are really behind on technology. We have 3 newish apple computers in our home and not one cd drive (new apple computers do not come with a cd drive). It is obvious to me that the majority of people download the photos from Disney and other mass photographed events so there is no reason to offer cds. I run marathons and the photographers on site sell downloadable copies of you running. I don't think any of the races I have competed in in the last few months have had a cd option at all. Disney is not unique with the idea of no cds. In less than 5 years the CD/DVD medium will be gone the way of the VHS and cassette.

I am not impressed with this new ability to download my photos. I purchased PP+ a month ago in preparation for a marathon trip with my girlfriends. I live in Africa. Downloading 100 or more full size photos will literally take days on the network we have here. I was expecting the CDs. I truly will have no use for the photos if they don't come on a CD. Come on Disney, I'm trying to play by your rules but you keep changing them mid-game. :furious:

Given your unique situation, that sucks! But I assume you could go to the photo pass store and explain to them what is going on and they will be able to burn you a cd. But I will say, I have downloaded our photo pass pics from the last three trips and the file format is disturbingly small. I had 150 photos downloaded in less than 30 seconds (I timed it). And they are all high-res. I am not sure how they compress them, but it really works well!

I also plan on getting the card at Down town Disney. I went to My account and its saying I haven't linked my Magic Maker yet?

My question is. Can I not link PP+ ? Also does that mean I'm going to have magic maker not PP+ now instead. I'm also really hope I can still get the CD but since my DH wants to do the download instead maybe its a good thing if I don't' get the CD.

I will be interested to see if people who have PP+ will be forced to get MM instead. I leave in 4 days so I guess I'll find out soon.

I understand your frustration!! Maybe one of your girlfriends could download them for you and burn a cd and then mail it to you.

From what I can tell, it's still the same thing. It's PP+ with a new name (and no CD, but downloads instead). I'm fairly certain they will honor the PP+ voucher you received and will link everything up when you turn in the voucher.

Is there a cost for switching from PP+ to Memory Maker? I pre-bought a PP+ a couple months ago for my trip coming up next Friday. Can I get Memory Maker instead?

Nope. Gotta return it and buy new.

Vouchers for PhotoPass+ will be honored.

You have the option of purchasing the memory maker DVD. This comes with all your photos AND the gallery DVD together for 29.95 for those who want those still.

Did you know that if I friend request my friend in my Disney experience his photos showed up? And since I had Memory Maker, I downloaded his photos just like they were mine. Separate reservations same memory maker downloads.

I saw in the Memory Maker terms of conditions that there were no refunds. Am I able to return the PP+ voucher I received in the mail? - I bought it a few months ago, would have to check what I paid for it (Edit: I paid $149). It came with a discount for pre-ordering.

I'm not sure on the "Gotta return it and buy new" part. I just ordered and it specifically says no refunds. Wouldn't returning it be a refund? Unless they give a $149 credit to put towards Memory Maker, in which case there's not technically a refund given.

Where do you find the DVD option? The only thing I quickly saw on the site was the CD for 169?
