***NEW MyMagic & FastPass+ Official Information & FAQ Thread***

Is the Fastpass+ now available for everyone? I am not able to access this online I have annual passes - could this be why. I thought everyone was supposed to have access by now. We are going in January. Thanks for the help Michelle
I don't have access yet either, I'm 77 days out. Most the chat is that FP+ is available at 60 days out.

I have AP and resort res with jan 20th checkin I have been unable to do squat in regards to MB or FP+

I am just now able to customize my bands and it says I have until Dec 5th to do so. It did not ask for any information, will it automatically link the credit card linked to my account to our bands? How do I get my photo+ package linked to my band, it doesn't show that it is linked to any of my reservations, they just sent me a CD case with a CD in it and a number.

We did the PP+ in July. What you got in the mail has a voucher with it. (although maybe I had to go online ahead of time and print it from the number that is on the paperwork inside the CD?) Anyway, You take that to the photopass place - we did it the night before at DTD. They give you a lanyard that says PP+ as opposed to the regular PP. That way the photographers know you are entitled to special perks. We got the actual photo packages from dinners and from the Pirate's League and BBB as well as them adding it to the PP. I don't know how it would work with the MB, but I don't know how they will know what you have coming to you if you don't have the lanyard. :confused3

At what point are all the "good" slots full on the headliner attractions? I am checking in at Wilderness Lodge on Friday 12/20. I have customized my magic bands, but do not currently have valid tickets. I am waiting for them to arrive from Undercover Tourist (should be just a couple more days). I am within the 60 day window now (57 days out). How long before all the "good" fast passes are gone?

We check in on 12/21. Yesterday I selected FP + for Epcot on 12/21. I was able to choose Soarin, TT and Figment, exactly what we wanted all in the late afternoon and early evening. I haven't tried any other days yet.

No, it still requires a Disney resort reservation within the window they specify, but generally no more than 60 days.

Correct.

They've only opened up MB customization as far as January 5th from what I understand.

I am curious about this too. I will be attending a conference at Disney in a couple of weeks, and haven't decided if I will try to go to a park one afternoon/evening. If I do, I will likely buy my park ticket the night before or the day of.

I will probably go to Epcot; maybe DHS depending on my schedule. It will be interesting to see if I will be able to get any headliners. I will check the app for all the parks regardless. I'll report back in a couple of weeks. :)

FWIW I took the survey today for using My Magic Plus and Fastpass + and let them know that 3FP per day is not enough for my crew and the poor speed/loading of the MDE app within the parks made adjustments and looking stuff up impossible for us despite the new iphone 5 and high end galaxy 3 phone.

When we were given KTTW cards by resort CM, we were told we could use them as well as MBs for FPs, payment, room access whatever.

And the survey questions I went through today were written in such a way as to distinguish between the two FP methods - asking about each separately and allowing for each to have been used. Below is just one question from the survey indicating an expectation on the part of WDW that guests could use both:

Which of the following did you use along with*Disney FastPass+ service during your trip?
(Please select all that apply.)
"Traditional"*Disney's FASTPASS®*Service using your Key to the World card to obtain paper tickets with printed return times
Extra*Disney's FASTPASS®*paper tickets given to you by a Cast Member for any difficulties you had during your vacation
Disney FastPass+ FastPicks, allowing Disney to make your attraction selections for a particular park
None of these

That's all I got.

Hi Guys.

I'm hoping someone can answer this question because I'm 150% confused.

If we sign up for MyMagic+ are those the only 3 Fastpasses we can use? If we decide to switch in the Park, do we do that via the APP or can we just pull a fastpass?

I'm so befuddled by this whole thing.

I realize this question has been asked a million times. I'm so sorry for reasking. Life has been hectic and I really haven't had time to read through the thread. I just don't know whether or not to sign up for the program and need some help for our upcoming trip.

Thank you SO much!

3 is it. And only in 1 park. If you get a traditional KTTW card then you would use that to obtain standard paper FPs if you wanted more FPs or wanted to get FPs in another park. All subject to availability.

I'm glad someone bumped this because the initial post answered a lot of my questions. It does seem the initial post is somewhat dated though. Any chance of an update now that it's been rolled out to some extent?

Thank you SO MUCH! Last (dumb) question. How do I get a KTTW card? Obviously, last November they just handed it to us! :-)

They should still give you one but some guests are being tested without it so if that is the case, you may have to request one.

Thank you!That clears everything up.

This is just a relaxing trip for the hubs and I. So if the bands work, great. If they don't, I won't be terribly upset. But before signing up for the program, I just wanted to know what I was signing up for!

I really appreciate your help!

Is it possible to use standard fastpass concurrently with FP+ . For example, you have a FP+ slot of 12:00 to 1:00PM at say, Big Thunder. If you are there in the morning and standard FP return times are 12:15 to 1:15, can you use your park ticket (presumed to be your MB) to pull a standard FP?

Also, if you have a FP+ from 12:00 to 1:00 at Big Thunder, can you use your MBs to pull fastpasses for 12:00 to 1:00 at Splash Mountain?

Is it even possible to pull standard FPs with MBs? If not would you need to take your tickets with you and use those to pull FPs? Or will the system disallow you to use standard FPs if you have FP+ reservations?

Thanks in advance

The two systems are completely independent and unaware of each other as far as times and usage is concerned.

MagicBands are unable to get regular Fastpasses because the Fastpass kiosks are not RFID-equipped. It requires using a valid ticket, AP or KTTW card with a magnetic stripe as before.

Up until now, everyone has gotten a KTTW card in addition to a MagicBand and can get regular FPs that way. It is reported that they will stop giving KTTW cards at least in some cases to "test" how things go without them.

We were in WDW oct 4-12, and had no problem pulling regular FP while also using FP+. I'm sure Disney is gradually working away from this, but if I were you I would bring any old KTW cards/paper tickets you have, and request KTW cards if you aren't given them. First day in the park give it a try to see if you can pull paper fast pass! We actually liked using FP+, but had MAJOR issues with changing anything once in the park. In our case the ride we were trying to schedule FP+ for was available, but the app was having issues. We were lucky that old FP was available for the ride in question. It is after all still a 'test' meaning Disney knows there are many issues.

No, MBs may not be used to "pull" paper/regular FPs. A card is needed to do this, paper or credit style. It's like a cash machine that retakes the card in and spits out a receip which is a FP. The KTTW cards which are also park tickets/room keys have been working to date to get regular FPs even though 3 FP+ are scheduled on the associated MB. It is rumored this will end soon though. The times of pulled FP and prebooked FP+ can overlap as they are not recognizing each other thus you could theoretically ride BTMRR with your FP+ and also have pulled a SM FP with the KTTW card or AP card for the same time window if you happen to be there during that FP return time distribution.

So related to my previous inquiry about simultaneous use of FP and FP+, is this frowned upon by CMs or other guests? I see there is another thread out there on this? Would this be considered rude, inconsiderate?

In our experience the cast members didn't even notice. We clearly handed paper FP to CMs with bands on, and no questions asked.

In our experience if you are on these boards you may understand the whole system better than CMs. I had to explain how tickets were linked accounts to one CM on our last visit .

We were adding a day to our daughters park hopper, and the CM insisted that he had to 'take the old ticket off of the magic band, and issue us a new plastic park hopper'. Eventually he did this and handed me my new plastic park hopper. As I explained to him the ticket remained linked to my daughters MyDisneyExperience account with no difficulty. Every tuning worked fine, but the CM clearly didn't understand!

I am trying to plan my FP+s for about 30 days out. All the FPs that I want on a particular day -- there are NO openings between 11:45-2:45. Can they possibly be gone this far out or are they holding this time period back for whatever reason and releasing as time goes on? Anybody know?
