New "Mom's to Be" Thread!

Hello all! I was waiting to post until my sister sent me pictures from my baby shower, but she still hasn't done that yet!!

We had our surprise shower last weekend and had a great time! I can't beleive all the stuff we got! Don's father flew in from New York, and his grandmother drove in from out of town. Even people that couldn't be there sent stuff to my parents ahead of time! Last night Don's mother went with us to babies R us and bought us EVERYTHING that was left over from the registry!!!!! Now we are just waiting on the crib and dresser to be delivered. We ordered it 8 weeks ago from Robb and Stucky, so I am hoping it gets here soon. Right now there is stuff all over the place, and we could really use all those drawers and cubbies from the hutch!

Here are some pictures of his nursery and there are various items laying around ther room that we need to put away! We still need to find curtains and are having the hardest time!

(That is not even half of his clothes! There is stuff folded up top, and all the way to both ends of the closet! I think I won't have to buy clothes for a year!!)

I can't believe I am next on the list. (Unless those October babies haven't been born yet!)

We still need to find him a coming home outfit. Any ideas?

All these babies are too cute! I can't believe how fast everything is going!

Where did you get the name letters?? I would love to have that for Caleb's room...we also did a zoo life safari theme....Zanzibar theme from Babies r us. Those letters would be a great match.

She was very quick, and the letters were pretty reasonable compared to a lot of others I looked at.

That is just the cutest nursery!!! I love it so much, it almost makes me want to decorate for a little boy!

It is in the 20's!! here today w/ wind chill and I am realizing that my biggest coat will not button May need to move on the DH's ... too bad he is a XXXLTall and I am a 5' tall woman!! I think i am probably close to being bigger around than I am tall!!!

nope i go in and doc checks wensday will induce monday if she doesn't appear before then. i had false labor friday night and was sent back home

Finally getting a chance to post here. We had our baby girl last Wednesday. Her name is Anne. She weighed 6lbs 3.5 oz and 19 inches. She's our entire world now and we can't get enough of her.

Update on us, while I finally have a minute before the next feeding. Everything went GREAT, I'm recovering from the surgery really well. The boys come out nearly perfect, imho

Baby A: William Allan was out first, weighing in at 7lbs3oz and 20 inches long. He had to spend about 24 hours in the nicu just to keep track of his breathing and some other things

Baby B: Andrew Cima came out at 5lbs11oz and 19 inches long. He only spent a couple hours in the NICU, but was pretty much good to go from the start.

I promise more details once we get in a routine. We probbaly go home tomorrow, so I should have more control over my life

WTG!! Congrats. very precious! sounds like Andrew was hogging up most of mommys belly! Hope all is going well and we wish you the best of luck! I cant wait to read more of the details!

Caleb had his one month appointment yesterday. He now weighs 11lbs 10 oz and is 23 inches long. Dr thinks he will be rolling over in a couple of weeks as he already rolls to his side if on his back and to his stomach if he is on his side. Said most babies roll over around 4 mos...and I read if babies develop their motor skills early that they could be athletic which would make Daddy very happy.

Caleb at one month

Caleb as a Dalmation for Halloween. He is going as the Dalmation to his big cousin 2 yr old JJ's Fire Fighter costume. This picture is a costume still a work in progress because Grandma has not found something to make a dog charm yet (the red is ribbon made to look like a dog collar). They will make a very cute combination. Just too bad there is not a dalmation puppy in the wizard of oz as his other cousins on DH side of the family are going as the wizard of oz crew.

how time flies...Caleb is so adorable. Did Caleb got any vacinations at the dr? we were to take JP to the drs for his one month visit but he has been sick The dr saw him when he was sick and said to wait till it passes in order to get his shots..

He makes the cutest puppy!

No Caleb did not get shots at his one month. I think maybe at his two month but I am not sure. Course I keep forgetting to bring his birth records when I go to the doctor, so that could be the reason why.

Had my 12 week appointment today (almost a week late). All is good, heard heartbeat...in 160's range.

Scheduled the big ultrasound for 12/9!! The day after we get home from Maui. I have to go for 1 hour glucose screen in about 4 weeks. They are starting me on them early (and frequently) due to the huge babies I have. Even though I haven't had gestational diabities, yet....

No KIDS!! Hubby got the trip from work. About 15-20 colleagues and there spouse are going. This is the same company that sent us on an Alaskan cruise in September!! My mom is staying w/the boys, because my oldest has school.

I had big babies...my 1st was 9lbs 8.5 oz (9/01)
My little one was 11 lbs (1/07) not so little. He'll be 2 in January (the end of January) and is already in a size 3t.

Have fun on the trip; your post made me laugh that your "little one" was already a 3T.
My youngest is almost 4 and until we got pregnant I would slip and call her the baby. I got some strange looks!

What a great name and I when I redid my oldest sons theme I picked that too! Target & walmart had some great things w/ this as the theme... Its now turning into more of just the "cars" theme as more Disney themed car items roll in!
