I'm still laying around and being a bum. So far no action, but should Wednesday come and no phone call, I'm going in anyway. I'll say almost anything to get admitted.

She looked absolutely perfect, is currently weighing in at 14oz., and was not shy at all about showing the goods! We are truly, madly, deeply in love and over the moon. DD only talked about her baby sister ever since we told her we were expecting, and she is going to be SO excited.![]()

How are you feeling out there k_reile?![]()
I'm feeling ok. Doctor does not think it will be too soon. Said I could be induced soon if I want but if my cervix is not favorable (which it was not yesterday) then all it is going to do is up my chances for a c-section and I want to try to avoid that if I can. Techincally I still have 9 days left so I am just going to wait it out and see what happens.

Good luck today Jennifer! Let us know how it goes!![]()
IMHO, there is too much induction out there for 1st babies (subsequent babies are another story). They are offering it up left and right! I think they want to have planned births so it fits into their schedules! Good for you for waiting!

They did this to me with DS#1 (although, not my first birth). Told me I needed to be induced for medical reasons, all of which were untrue (I changed from a midwife to a dr and asked new doc point blank)! DS's birthdate is Dec. 21st. Hhmmmm...maybe someone didn't want to come in for Christmas!
DS#2 was also induced. High-risk doctor scared the crap out of everybody with how SUPER BIG he was! Yeah right, he came out 8lbs 2oz. Slightly smaller than his brother!
I am really hoping to go into labor on my own this time. Especially since this is my last one...I want the true "water breaking, labor starting" experience (did have this with my daughter, but it was 8 weeks too early, so obviously a whole different scenario).![]()
My appointment is at 9:30 today....
I wish I was induced with #1. She was 12 days late and had meconium in her fluid.
Well, they often induce because if you go too much past your due date, that can be bad for the baby. I wouldn't want to be induced unless there was a definite medical reason. I'd rather let Mother Nature do her thing.
I'm not saying nobody should ever be induced. Obviously, medical reasons and being too far past your due date are significant reasons to do it. I just think that too many doctors and women are choosing to induce for the wrong reasons in their first pregnancy.![]()
I know many women find it to be beautiful and I really wish I could too!Something I haven't done in a while! Just saw the movie "Knocked Up" and thought I'd throw this topic out there!
If you are giving/have given birth naturally as opposed to c-section, did you see/want to see your baby coming out. Meaning did you want a mirror there to get the full view?
With DD, which was my first delivery, I remember they brought this huge monstrosity of a mirror and told me to look at my baby crowning. I was horrified and told them to take the mirror away immediately!![]()

I guess I've really never wanted to see it since.I know many women find it to be beautiful and I really wish I could too!
Don't need me passing out and getting sick while trying to give birth. My SIL had it done when she had my newphew and I thought it was a disgusting idea then....course I am a naturally queasy person....so it would never work for me.

I didn't have the mirror with the other 2, but I'm going to try it TOMORROW.
Yep, tomorrow is the big day, it's official!![]()

I had some good news today. The first part of my first trimester screening came back and so far everything looks A.O.K! I had the NT ultrasound too and that was good. Now for the second part and the Amnio...
