Maybe the 150 includes your day ticket AND the special 3 hours? That would make sense to me. If it is 150 just for 3 hours then I'm at a loss. And like the op if they start closing the park earlier because of it then I'll be ticked!
1) If you were just going to purchase a single day ticket only, might be fun to go at night instead with lower crowds, especially in mid-summer when daytime is scorching.
2) We do about half our trips onsite and half offsite, with EMH a contributing factor (love MK midnight to 2 am in July!!) Since we only do evening EMH, we could save a fortune by staying offsite and do this instead. Even at $150pp, it wouldn't cost even close to the thousands we save getting a condo for a week offsite.
But overall, I think they are crazy. Compared to other hard ticket parties (and we loved MVMCP!), this just seems ridiculous.
It's official...Disney has lost their ever lovin' mind! They are price gouging and the whole purpose to paying extra to stay on site is to get the perks...since I booked in January they are dwindling away and if they do away with EMH I'll be not a happy camper
If 150 is the price just for 3 hours no way, hell no, and if this is the end of emh, it will be the end of us staying on site. We are staying offsite this year already. That trend could easily continue with rumored new resort fees, and end of EMH if that does indeed happen.
I know, right...however, too many reliable sources are reporting this one. And it's not at all surprising considering the decisions Disney has been making lately...
I seriously cannot even comprehend $600 for my family of 4 to spend 3 extra hours at MK unless its got free food and drinks and some special meet and greets and shows.
And even then I probably wouldn't spend the money.
Yes there was, E-ride nights. Same thing (E-rides open and characters wandering) but for $10 (that's ten, no mistake, it was that cheap), and max attendance was 5000, so it was empty.
Just to put that price into a little perspective. For that same 3 hour cost You can go from a 3 day parkhopper ticket ($359) to a 10 day park hopper ($477) for $32 less.
