Hi. I read somewhere (possibly here) that Walts and the Blue Lagoon have new menus from the start of May. Has anyone been recently and managed to get a photo? Or could someone who is going soon take one and post it please? We're planning on going to one of these at the end of May, and I want to book in advance, but just want to make sure that the menus are still ok.
Thanks

It was me ;)

I was supposed to be going this week and real life got in the way so I'm off either Monday or Thursday

I'll be taking photos and putting them the same day or the following :)

I've seen a photo of the new Blue Lagoon menu but it's too small to really read. They have added 2 new starters apparently and changed the names of certain dishes.

ps-That Walt's on the DLRP link is the menu we had in Feburary, they had the pre-Novembre menu up on their site till the end of April, so it's now changed too.

Carrie, you are an absolute star. :flower3: We're eating at Walt's and the Blue Lagoon on our trip so it would be really nice to peruse the menu from the comfort of my settee! :rotfl2:

Oh I really fancy Blue Lagoon as I've never been.
I'm always worried the portion sizes are too small for us but I may give it a chance.

we'd planned to eat at walts but even thoughthe menu looked nice the building didn't. it was all covered over with scaffolding and covers so hopefully that's finished by the time you get there.
DDD

It's the inside that's so magic at Walt's. All the different decorated rooms with lot's of memorabilla. The view on main street is a plus but the theming and the food of course are the real stars.

The renovations to the outside are going to be going on until mid/end septembre :)

I agree about it being the inside that's special. We've always been lucky to get a window seat in Frontierland before but (before I knew about the outside refurbishment) would have turned it down if offered this time as we would like to try a different room.

I think sometimes photos are deceptive ~ or to put it another way my *ahem* greedy DH has never complained that the portions are too small for him! :lmao:

DH really likes the look of the menu at blue lagoon but i am very allergic to coconut and they serve alot of meals with it in. We have been to a restaraunt before where i was told it did not have coconut in but i ended up having a reaction it turned out they had cooked the rice in coconut oil so i can't run the risk :sad1:. The setting looks lovely. can you just go in for a drink or do you have to have a meal?

Some people have managed to go in for the Café Gourmand only, after the lunch rush, but it's very hit or miss.

We were told no :sad2:

Aww that's a shame, maybe if we are in the area we could always try, as they say if you don't ask you don't get lol :rotfl2:.

ooooo I hope you do. let me know how you get on :)

Thanks Carrie, that's brilliant - food is so important on these trips :lmao:
