Did you research the program and SSR before your cruise or did you find the DVC Spiel do good to resist? It is a serious question on my end. It is just hard it imagine being pitched for DVC while on a relaxing cruise? I'd like to hear a little about how it went and a little more about the OP.

I don't take offense to much but this one if pushing it. You act like boat and I have some sort of conspiracy going here? I don't even know the guy. I can't help the fact that we seem to agree. I also don't post to stir the pot. If the pot stirs because of my honest views, so be it. I try my best to stay on topic.

Now back to the topic. Something stinks here with the captain. Many of these new posts about becoming owners serve no purpose. Why isn't the OP thanking anyone or responding to my questions? Another ghost writer, I suspect trying to give the impression that sales are going well. Maybe it is just a ploy to let people know that DVC can be purchased on the cruise line. OP, yes, I'm calling for a response here or at least a thank you to the welcome home people.

I think the captain and his ship have completed the mission and now have set sail. Seriously guys pay attention to these types of posts. Many a poster saying New SSR owner only to be never heard from again. Why take the time to register on the DIS just to say that? Don't think for one second this doesn't go on because it does.

I have been doing some reserch on here for a few months prior the the trip and while on board we heard about the DVC seminar and thought we'd check it out.
My wife and I both work very long hours and and never take vacations. So we thought this would be a good motivator to take more vacations!!

Thank you to everybody for all the welcomes!!!! I'm sure I'll have lots of questions for you!

I've already decided who the wave makers are and who I need to ignore!

welcome! and good for you realizing who to methinks "someone" is having some hallucinations, delusions of persecution, paranoia.... maybe they need some anti-psychotic drugs

i have another idea!! maybe our 2 "friends" are ghost writers that work for universal or dreamworks... they don't want people to buy into DVC bc there is going to be a new vacation club for the other companies... hmmmm i think i'm on to something...

We are sending the paperwork back today.
Question: They gave us last years points with our member year running from Oct. Should I bank them before the end of this month? How long do I have to use them?? Not sure we will be taking another vacation before this time next year.

Thanks Captain for the response. One question though, it seems a little too convenient that for a week you are unavailable and as soon as I post this you happen to be available..... hmmmmm....... Don't let the Daitcher naysayers scare you off. Even I have some moments of clarity. Some, with some arm twisting and pay offs, have even agreed with me from time to time. At any rate, welcome home Captain, and I'm looking forward to you joining the discussion. Happy vacationing.

Susan, I think your on to my therory that Daitcher and B3 are the same person... They seem to be too much alike (OMG can you imagine if their really are two of them that are that much alike?!) for it to be a coincidence.........

I have the phone number to bank those points if you need it...just pm me and I'll give it to you (just in case your vacation club guide didn't give it to you). Those October points have to be banked by March 31st...just call the number, give them your name and your vacation club guide's name, and let them know that you want to bank the points. You can do this even if you don't have your member card/member number yet...I did it the day after I placed my down payment, even before my paperwork arrived. They will give you a banking confirmation number when you bank your points.

Despite what some of the SSR bashers say, congratulations and welcome home, neighbor It's going to be a great neighborhood when it is all completed.
