I bought last year and I am going on the Magic with points on April 13th. I bought last April on the cruise and got a December date. Since ii had actually two years worth this year I have banked my left over points in Feb. Now I would like to go down on the Thanksgiving week. First off, I read I can not have my banked points back, but could I borrow from next years to go??? Also has anyone been down Thanksgiving week, I read it is not crowded the first part of the week but from Thursday on it is. Also does anyone know if a BW sudio would be avail. for this week, we have our points at WLV but are going there April 2003 and thought we would like BW. Thanks for anyones help.

Yes, you can borrow points from the next use year even if you have banked all of your current use year points.

You won't really know if there will be a studio available at BWV until you call. Thanksgiving week has become more popular, so I'd recommend you call and book VWL now and then call day by day for the BWV studio when the 7 month window opens. Keep in mind that if yo borrow points, they will expire at the end of your current use year if for some reason you end up not going after you make the reservation.

HTH. Have fun on the cruise!

Yes you can borrow points -

Thanksgiving can be crowded if you are use to off times - if you are used to Spring Break or Summer - it is not crowded - however if you are used to September it is very crowded.

the only studios that were available for the whole time were at OKW - but call MS and see. remember that next month you can make reservations for the BCV.

Can you make ressies at your 11 month window and then change them to another non-home resort at the 7 month window without penalty??? If I wanted to be sure to go on a certain date then you should make them at 11 months all the time correct.

You can make reservations at only your home resort 11 months ahead. You could make a reservation for OKW (if OKW was your home resort) for example for 11 months from now to guarantee yourself someplace to go for a specific week. You could then try to make reservations 7 months ahead for a non-home resort for the same time slot you already had at OKW and if there was availability you could cancel the first reservation. If each reservation took the exact same number of points this would be an easy change to make. You need to be careful not to cancel any reservation less than 31 days ahead and you really should read the guide book carefully and ask questions of member services. You need to understand the rules for banking and borrowing so you don't lose any points.
