Ok, so just got my member number last night....woohoo

I want to call MS today and make a ressie and bank points. My question is do I bank all my points then borrow to make the ressie. We will not be using all your points and want to save them for a cruise next year and I don't want to loose those points.

Also do members get cash discounts on rooms on the WDW property (other then DVC rooms)?

I wouldn't bank all of my points and then borrow them back to make a reservation - not sure why anyone would want to do that. Normally, you'd bank what you don't need for the current use year. If you want specific advice, post your use year and the dates you plan to reserve.

No - the 25% member discount for cash reservations is only for the DVC resorts (and it is not always available).
