new, looking for checklist

My husband and I are new DVC members. We bought in Old Key West, but we are staying at the Boardwalk Villas next weekend. I am interested in knowing if there is a checklist of sorts with items that we should bring that will not be in the room, i.e., paper towel, tissue, towels, etc. I'm not sure what to expect with the housekeeping schedule, etc., and would appreciate any assistance or direction to the right web page.

This info is from the DVC website under the DVC Resorts page, BWV, "room layout". No full cleaning unless you're staying 8 or more nights. Less than 8 nights, you have have "Trash and towels" on Day 4 of your stay.

Wet bar, mini-refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, linens, and a start-up supply of bath soap, towels, shampoo, and coffee. Also included are tissues, paper towels, paper plates, plastic silverware, and dishwashing detergent.

One-, Two and Three-Bedroom Vacation Homes
Linens, towels, washer and dryer, master suite with a whirlpool tub, a complete kitchen with major appliances, dishware, dishwashing supplies, and a start-up supply of bath soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, and coffee.

need to bring laundry detergent - I like the tablets (both Wisk and Tide have them) - fabric softner.

candles and matches

bubble bath/oil/crystals for the bath

sun screen...okay the room doesn't need it - but you will

I used to bring a waffle iron - but someone says that if you ask housekeeping they will bring you one.

something to cook the bacon on in the mircowave oven.

some things to cook with in the mircowave.

I am assuming that if they have a coffee maker they have coffee cups or are they styrofoam?

I'll have to buy some mugs when we get there to use for morning coffee...An excuse to shop!!!!!

You'll get 4 coffee mugs - ceramic, IIRC. Definitely not styrofoam!

But feel free to buy some mugs, anyway. They make great souvenirs. I sip coffee and soda out of them at home while I do the DIS! You'll need more than one - one for work, one to travel back and forth, one for the dishwasher and one for immediate use. That's the minimum as far as I'm concerned.

spiceycat - Now that I think more about it, I seem to recall only two mugs, too. I stand corrected re the quantity. Bet you could get a couple more if you called housekeeping, though!
