New LeCellier menu!!

Thanks for posting the new menu! Le Cellier isn't on our schedule for our trip in December but it is for February. There seems to be more competition for my Mushroom Filet on the new menu - hope it doesn't change again before February. Unless it is to bring back the Maple Barbecue Filet!

Thanks for posting the new menus. :goodvibes I'm really hoping to snag an ADR for our April trip as we've never dined there before. :)

What about the herb crusted prime rib? It is my dh's favorite! He will be so bummed if they don't offer it anymore.

I love the BBQ Maple Filet and have been ordering that for the last 6 years. Boo hoo.

Does this mean they no longer have the chocolate mousse anymore?

Hi~ We dined there Thursday night and the chocolate mousse was still on the adult dessert menu:cutie: and it was very good. I ordered the mousse and DH ordered the creme brulee and someone else in our party tried the rhubarb apple dessert and proclaimed it very good as well!!
:cutie:

It's not about the theming - it's the name of the cut.

Okay, New York Strip Steak and Kansas City Strip Steak are the same cut - the top loin - so the different designations are likely used to avoid confusion. There's no Canadian name associated with this cut of meat, so it's understandable that the Chef did not use a Canadian name for either cut

top loin steak = strip steak = New York steak = New York sirloin steak = Kansas City steak = contrefilet = strip loin steak = New York strip steak = Kansas City strip steak = hotel steak = hotel cut strip steak = ambassador steak = club sirloin steak = strip sirloin steak Notes: Think of these as Porterhouse or T-bone steaks that have been stripped of the choice tenderloin portion. They're flavorful and fairly expensive cuts. A boneless top loin steak is called a shell steak, and a very thick shell steak is sometimes called a shell roast.

Yes, I get that. I was making a joke -- that they went out of their way to choose two cuts of meat with distinctly American names while the restaurant is based in a Canadian theme.

Do they not offer the Chocolate Moose or did I miss it?? That is one of the reasons I'm excited to go!!:rotfl2:

We ate there recently and my husband had the pork osso bucco and I had the coffee rubbed steak (which was huge). Both were delicious. I wasn't sure about the steak when I ordered it, but the server encouraged me. It was so flavorful. Lots of leftovers to take back to our DVC room.

Bumping this new Le Cellier menu entry up for more to see...and 'cause I want to have the menu handy as I dream of March:cloud9: :cloud9:

Ahh, the power of beef:worship: :rotfl2:

I like the look of the seafood salad but used to throw up after eating mussels. I haven't eaten them for over 14 years so will try one to see if it still has the same affect.

Anyone else a little bummed about the fact that the mustard chicken is gone? To me it was one chicken dish that was a little bit different and I am going to miss it.

BUT I am not going again until 2010, so I won't sweat it. The menu is sure to change multiple times between now and then. :goodvibes

well, hopefully the lunch menu is similiar cuz I want those scallops !

Yes! I don't eat beef and was really looking forward to trying the mustard chicken, it sounded so good! The new chicken dish doesn't really sound very good to me :sad1:

Now I get to decide if I'm going to pay oop and just order soup or take a chance on the new chicken.

As someone else mentioned isn't there more the menu? They should have sides/more salads somewhere...

The ones at Le Cellier are the BEST at Disney!!!! New recipe that has coconut milk, shallots, ginger...etc...OMG...the broth was so good, I would not let the server take it away from me. I wanted more bread to dip into the broth, which the server happily bought more to the table.

No, that's it. They've never had a large section for salads. Sides haven't ever had their own section either. You can always substitute a side from a different dish, but what's listed as coming with the dishes is what is available.
