Hopes that helps those planning a birthday celebration at Disneyland! :D

Thanks, Michelle, for the Birthday info. What about the "stickers" that were mentioned in a previous post? Would you suggest that too?

We'll definitely have some opportunities to wish our DD a very Happy Disney Birthday! Went to the mall this evening and bought her a Lilo doll......she went to bed just a little while ago clutching her new doll and with a huge grin on her face!!

The Disney "magic" is swirling around this house!! Now, I need to start packing....and calling tomorrow morning for some of those reservations!!!

I have another question....about gift baskets...but will post it as a new thread...thanks for your responses......I remember your help on the DCL board three years ago!!! You're still providing great info!!! Much appreciation, Karen

<font color=navy>I would definitely get her a birthday sticker at City Hall when you first get in. They will most likely write her name on it, and she'll be greeted by a great many people...

When my 13-yr old cousin came out from Phoenix, we went to DL on her birthday. Without her knowing, we told the jazz musicians that it was her birthday, and they pulled her out of the crowd & played HB to her on the sax.... she was a little embarrassed, but she enjoyed it all the same. :)

Thanks Michelle. That's GREAT info! I'm always being asked about celebrating birthdays in the parks. I'll pass this on.

These sounds like fun!! Hopefully they stick around until March & then Jan 04 when we plan to do our Birthday trips.

Here's a little more info on the Fantasy Celebration events:

Fantasy Celebration Events -- Guests who want to customize their birthday event can turn to the "Fantasy Celebration Events" specialists. They coordinate every detail and help make dreams come true in a variety of locations and themes. "Fantasy Celebrations" are $100 per person and a 30-day notice is requested. Fantasy Celebration themes include:

"Build a Princess" -- A birthday girl receives a crown and a note that proclaims her an "honorary princess." Throughout a tour of the Resort, princess gifts are layered on (costume jewelry, flowers and a dress), the youngster encounters various Disney princesses, and the day culminates with a birthday dinner attended by a Disney princess.

"A Screamin’ Birthday Party" -- Disney's California Adventure provides the screams and thrills for guests with a tour of exciting attractions and a dinner cruise.

"A Birthday Blast, To Infinity and Beyond!" -- Guests are whisked away to adventures in Disneyland park as "Astro Command Trainees," capped by a visit from Buzz Lightyear.

I'm taking my dd as a bday present, but her bday will be a month prior. Does that matter on any of these packages?

No, the date does not matter, it does not have to be the actual birthday. :)

We are going for my daughters 14th Birthday which is St. Patricks Day! Which would be best choice for teen girl? TIA

We are going to celebrate my DS 8th b-day on St. pat's day also. However, we will actually be in the park on the 14th or 15th.

Glad to read about all the possible ways to celebrate. I didn't know what was available.

This will be our 1st trip to DL. Have been to WDW twice with the kids.

Trips planned-
DL Off-site Mar 2003
WDW Yacht Club Dec 2003

okay i know for the partys and what not it doesn't have to be their actual birhtday but how about the special sticker. i am taking my son this wednesday-monday but his birthday isn't until april 7th. do they ask specifics because if they do he is only four so he will say no its not my birhtday yet. thanks amber(mimimoms daughter)::jester: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I wish they had these options in WDW last month. I had my 40th out there and would have liked to celebrate in some of the ways mentioned above. We did do a chef mickeys breakfast on the day but the characters did not interact at all with the kids, they just stood there which is not what we were expecting! I did get a little cake though which was nice.

Thank you for the information. My husband is actually planning a 30th birthday celebration for my twin sister and I. Yes we are having our 30th birthday party at DL. We will most likely be doing the Birthday Party at the Plaza Inn with Mickey and Minnie and Pat E. Cake. Can you imagine about 50 grown ups having a party with kids sippy cups and our own individual cakes to decorate. This is going to be a blast... Our birthday is January 29th but due to NFL and the Super Bowl we are celebrating our birthday valentine's weekend... Can't wait!!!

So thank you very much for this information. I will pass it on to my husband....

Michelle, Did we meet you on the member cruise last February?

RRBB and I will be at DL on her birthday (it is a multiple of 10 this year) I want to plan a surprise for her, what do you suggest. We also have prepaid a character Breakfast (place and time TBD) and get preferred seating to a show. I would love your guidance. We will be staying at the Grand Californian, and before you ask, yes I booked the trip with Dis-Savers.

Any and all suggestions are Appreciated and Welcome!!!!!

Hi Ohanafamily! Sorry, I just saw this post. :)

No, I'm not DVC so I wasn't on the members cruise last year but I know plenty of folks who were and had a BLAST. :)

Hmmm, as for a surprise...there are so many options. Did you want to do a nice dinner somewhere or did you want to try and do something in the park? I'm happy to give some ideas! :)

Hi Beautiful,

I would like to know...

Which Character Breakfast is the best,

and

Which show should we use our preferred seating.

I also would like to get some Ideas for her birthday. I readthat there are a lot of specials, but most seem for children. I would love something in a park that I could surprize her with, but something delivered to the room might be nice too.....

:bounce:

Well, the most popular character meal is at Goofy's Kitchen. :) Storyteller's has great food but the characters don't come around to the tables like they do at Goofy's.

As for the preferred seating, I would go with Aladdin for that.

You're right that most of the events seem geared to the younger crowd so you might want to consider just having something delivered to the room. It's pretty hard to plan an in-park event. Do be sure she gets her birthday sticker from City Hall on her big day, though, the CMs will make sure to wish her a happy birthday. :)

I'd also suggest dinner at one of the hotel restaurants or at Downtown Disney; there are lots of great choices. :)

Someone suggested that we use the preferred seating on Phantasmic, or do they have a Dinner and Movie like in Florida?
