New info for RRR Coaster

Wow, it sounds pretty scary. Staggered seating so you can see where you go, think my eyes will be closed, that's after sending Norman on to try it out first.l

Pasted from link: Hands up? "We would not promote that. We want you to hold on."

Or else...? :scared1: Sounds quite scary!!

"The way it's set up is that from the moment you get onto the walkway until the train dispatches from the station, you have 45 seconds to get on the train, sit down, pull the restraint down and select your music."

I'm not liking the sound of that! I'm gonna have to help my mum in, who can't climb in and out of things that fast, get her sorted, then myself. How am I gonna manage that in 45 seconds? I assume that perhaps there are exception for wheelchair users, or are they just not allowed to ride at all? lol

"No overhead harness. "The entire seat assembly is ergonomically designed so you're completely sandwiched and locked into the seat.""

That just made the ride ten times scarier!!! I do not like riding coasters that don't have overhead harness when they do such scary and unnatural things! I did the one at BG (Scorpion?) that went upside down with only a lap bar and nearly had to change shorts afterwards ;)

This doesnt actually go upside down at any point. It twists around the track on the loop so its actually on top iof the track when at the top of the loop.

Sounds quite strange.

I hope its opened when im there in a few weeks.

the no overhead thing will really confuse me. as i don't mind going on rides with no overhead harness as these rides are pretty tame and it is my guide to knowing that it will be okay for me. this rides looks set to put my theory on its head!!

Oh yeah, I know that it doesn't go upside down, but still. I'm sure I'll not particularly enjoy the climb, or come down straight after with just a lap bar, but we'll see soon enough I guess!

::yes::

Alas another one not for us pooh shaped people, oh well, will just have to listen to the screams from outside :)

Haha, I hate scary coasters with no overhead harnesses!!

Goliath at 6 flags magic mountain has a HUGE 300 ft first drop, and the lap bars are just like big flat slabs that pin your legs down, and there's no bar anywhere to hold onto! Makes is soooo much worse!!!

Super fun though, I can't wait for RRR!

Just looked at the picture and those lap bars look very thorough and sturdy!! And you have special leg holes!! Very secure!

OMG that looks awesome and scary:scared1::scared1: how are they gonna keep skinny kids in that seat:scared1::scared1: I'm going to have to check DS's height before we go this year he may be tall enough but there's not a scrap of spare weight on him he's very lean (he's at a town gymnastics competition at the moment) and very agile.
