I have read enough on here now to know that I am not willing to take the risk. From banks in Israel to CS reps in Hong Kong and India. The deal just sounds too good to be true. There are just way too many international scams out there these days and the people never get caught nor do the victims get their money back.

For all of you that have booked and are still going to book I wish you luck. I really hope for your sake that this is 100% legit.

Is it wrong that I am feeding my children Froot Loops for dinner? By the way why did they spell fruit like that? It's no wonder that people can't spell!

Personally, I'm okay with it. This exact topic has already come up today as well as last week while waiting for the time clock.

Let them eat cake, err, cold cereal.

well, my kids had anything that was in the fridge that could be microwaved....mashed potatos, bbq chicken sandwiches and buttered noodles. great combo huh????

Nope. We're having chinese take out brought in by DH because his wife is stuck to the computer desk watching for this SALE. :clown:

when I refresh the page, it defaults back to all of Orlando search results, rather than keeping my pick of Disney resorts & show only available... any way to keep that from happening?

Thanks for the info, would you feel comfortable giving them your social security number???

If I won - yes. They have been in business since 1994 in Florida and though they have a bad rating on the BBB it is based on 2 complaints in the last 12 months - and any internet travel business that only has only 2 complaints in the last 12 months sounds OK to me ...........

All I can hear in my head is the Wicked Witch saying "POP-IES!"

Once you've seen wicked you can never go back. I'm sure Elphaba just knew they were too tired to take a nap on their own - sorta like 3 yr olds & DISers- you gotta make em lay down! :coffee:

Last week I made my 7 year old hit refresh while I made spaghetti. :)

I have been reading thru these posts all day. I just found out about this yesterday and researched it all day and needless to say, im hooked. This is probably the craziest thing ive ever done, but I thought you might get a good laugh. Last night, when I went to bed, I turned my speakers on full blast to make sure I could pick up the popping sound and then I put my baby monitor right up to the speaker. I could pick it up great! I got woke up one time when there was some false alarms and I jumped out of bed and came running in here. I really hope this happens soon!

Ouch...they called it a sweepstakes. That's not good. :(

Email response from Customer Service:

Thank you for your e-mail. In regards to the taxes: The value of hotel rooms purchased during the World For A Dollar campaign may be taxable as income. Individuals are solely responsible for the payment of all federal, state and local income or excise taxes on prize. Depending on the value of the rooms, you may be required to provide a social security number for 1099/income tax filing purposes. If required, LMT will send you the appropriate documentation for tax filing. In addition, you are responsible for all travel/transportation to and from hotel, meals, beverages, phone charges, incidentals, or other expenses or costs relating to the prize not expressly set forth above. You are not responsible for hotel taxes.

What you would be responsible for would be resort fees, parking fees anything that is not hotel taxes and that the hotel is charging outside of the room price.

As far as the number of rooms you can book it is only one per sweepstakes and one per household.

Just curious how did you find out that they have been in business in Florida since 1994? Don't you think if they have been in business there for that long that they should have a local bank by now?
