Hello all!

Ok, to music: I WANT, I WANT, I WANT MY BCV!
BCV sales are few and far between. Is this normal or does it change from week to week?

We've stayed at WL, not the VWL, and loved it there. I've also stayed at OKW and loved the space. But my kids are such water boys, I don't see how we can't go with BCV, even though we've never seen it.

Advice on the amount of time it takes to see Beach Club Offererings? Also, can one BCV member sell part of their points to someone else or does it all have to stay together?

It's taken us almost 5 years to decide to do this and I AM READY!

Thanks for any thoughts and ideas you can provide me.

Just contact all the resale brokers and let them know what you're looking for: # of points, use year, resort, etc. and just keep checking back with them on a regular basis as many contracts are sold before they even make it to the lists you see posted on the web.

Resales are not as numerous right now for a couple of reasons(IMHO):

1. DVC just increased their price per point. A lot of sellers are waiting for a couple of months to see if that drives up the resale market as well.

2. Summer is quickly approaching and they may have already planned on using the current years points before they sell.

I'm sure there are other reasons as well, but those are the two that come to mind.

Just hang in there -- the right contract will come along!!!

We contacted a resale agent just asking questions about how often BCV properties list, etc. She said they would place us on the email list. The next day I received a call from work that there was a property with the exact points we were looking for. We snapped it up right away. I have seen over the last month, maybe a BCV property 1 time a week. I will tell you though, if you do snag a BCV, be prepared to wait for it to pass ROFR. Disney seems to be taking close to the full 30 days.

Good Luck

BCV seems to have the fewest packages for sale - I'm not sure why, but they do happen. Latley, I have seen the market really dry up though - especially for smaller packages, but I'm not sure how large of a package you are looking for. I tend to agree that with the price increase, things are on hold a bit.

Call the major resale shops and ask to be put on a call list. I would also check their web sites daily because Timeshare Strore never really did put us on a call list--it was up to us to keep checking. They seem to have the most packages available also.

Keep checking very regularly and eventually you should find what you want. Good luck!

BCV doesn't come up much in resales and they sell out the quickest because they are the smallest of the DVC's.

If you are sure that you want to buy at BCV, make sure you weigh these issues.

Best of luck to you.

Call Shontell at DVCbyResale (you can find her phone # at www.dvcbyresale.com) and ask her to place you on her e-mail list. This comes out when she has new listings (frequently) and many times these listings don't make it to the Web site.

I know she had a BCV property available earlier this week but it has been sold.

Now, if you have the big bucks to spend, Jaki at www.atimeshare.com has a huge listing for BVC (700 or 750 points) but, of course, the price tag matches the number of points!!
