New here, FW quiet hours?

I'm new to these forums, still introducing myself around. We're in the early stages of planning a trip to WDW for our family of 5 this Nov.

We are considering towing our popup camper and staying in FW. We will be visiting family elsewhere in the state most of our vacation and will be staying with them while there. We really have no need for the popup, but are hoping to save a little money on accommodations while visiting Orlando.

I'm sure I will have tons of questions, but I'll start with this one:
How quiet is FT at night? Are there quiet hours? Since we camp under canvas, we hear absolutely everything outside. We can't enjoy ourselves during the day if we can't sleep at night.

TIA!

Having been a tent camper at FW, I can tell you that if you are close any of the main roads you will here the internal transportation busses for FW stopping and starting if you are camping near a bus station. I don't know what hours they run but I tended to hear them more at night going to sleep rather than in the morning. When I go in May I am going to request a site on the back part of a loop to try to get away from the bus noise! pirate:

Thank you Bama ED! That was exactly what I was looking for!
:thanks:

I probably wouldn't have thought of the buses, as no campground we've been to has them running through the campground. We've heard plenty of fishermen driving their diesels to the lake before sunrise. :ssst:

If you camped near a comfort station, did you hear others' middle-of-the-night bathroom runs? Are you so close to their path that their flashlights might stray from their path, lighting up your canvas?

As a matter of fact one time we did camp directly across from a comfort station. Obviously it was convenient for us but I did hear people talking/giggling going to the CS in groups (mostly teenagers). Lights weren't a problem. There was a door that banged slightly but I don't recall if it was the men's, women's, or the wash room's door. It wasn't a big deal and to me with 3 small children and a wife, the convenience was worth more.

Besides, after a few days of hoofing all over the parks, I slept like a stump the rest of the nights!

In order to provide some "white noise" for sleeping, we have a fan running. That takes the edge off any noise you might hear.
