I agree that it would make no sense to update the lining picture, if more weren't going to be made available. But, who knows at this point? Guess all we can do is keep checking!

Did any see Steven's post about the new store at DTD on Disney parks blog? He posts about the new Dooneys at the store and mentions some thing hauntingly fun is coming this fall. I hope we don't have to wait until fall but I do appreciate the info. His comment is below:

I think that sounds good- perhaps another sized bag with the same print? I might actually like that better if it has purple lining because it'll probably be a bit cheaper!

I'm sure you can't spill all of the beans, but if you take a look at the product page reviews for the bag and some other online message boards, there are literally hundreds of us ladies waiting to hear any update! Quick question regarding the bag. Mine has parts of the design flaking off on the bottom corners on each side. Has anyone else had this problem? I am hesitant to send it back to Dooney because I am afraid I won't get it back. Does anyone know how it works to send a bag back to them?

Sorry to hear about your bag, that's disappointing. Some one just listed a bag with the bottoms scuffed or flaked off on Ebay for $350 so I don't think you're alone. I would suggest calling Disney CS and Dooney CS, they should be able to help you out.

Dooney better step up the quality...I must say that I am not impressed with the bags they list as coated cotton, they are clearly a printed plastic. I got the DVC Dooney tote and its not nearly as nice as the original balloon print which is a true coated cotton. They are letting their quality slip while increasing pricing, I don't see that working out for them.

Agreed that those pics and reports of similar wear we've heard here are very disappointing. For no longer than people could possibly have owned these, normal usage shouldn't have resulted in such wear.

Slightly off topic, but I bought one of the Mickey/ Minnie street scene bags today! Found it @ MouseGears, they had 2 purses (shoppers?), a few letter carriers & the large tote. The shop @ the Studios had 1 letter carrier & 2 tiny purses (don't know the style) on Thursday. They were gone in hours.

On topic, the CM @ MouseGears said they received 12 HM bags on Sept 13 & a single bag one other time, only ever received 13 bags total since it was released.

Between the Haunted Mansion bag and the Frozen merchandise, whomever is in charge of merchandising for Disney needs to be sacked. I can't believe any of head honchos are happy about missing the boat on all this revenue.

Good news! I would take this as a 99% yes that the print will be back in some way shape or form on a Dooney bag! Steve's response to my question:

"@Emily – Would you say there are at least 999 ladies waiting to hear an update? Stay tuned as there’s always room for 1,000 handbags. Any volunteers?"

All I could think is that ladies are paying 999 dollars for this bag on ebay so I'm sure there's more than 1,000 who want an HM Dooney Oh and I volunteer as tribute!

Now the big questions are when and if they'll be super ninja limited like last time. I think the fact they went for months from "No plans for a new bag," (a direct quote from Steve on an earlier blog post in Feb.) to changing the lining, to several hints on the blog and many CMs saying they heard it will be back shows that someones from Marketing/Products saw the talk about this bag and the higher ups are now aware of the demand. I'd be surprised if they didn't at least make it in the numbers they did for the IASW Dooneys.

Most of this is speculation on my part, but the quote from Steve is a great sign!

I read that response & am hopeful too. I take it as a good sign he even responded. The other blog about this purse, the blogger (the woman, don't know her name) just ignored or deleted these type of questions. Would be nice to have other styles too.

I've had this problem, too. My bag actually came with a few spots. At first I thought maybe I'd rubbed it against the car (winter, covered in salt and melted snow). Now there are a few spots at the top where white is showing. I agree with rcmsfeb04, it's problematic. I take this bag to work five days a week. It goes from my car and sits underneath my desk all day (on a carpeted floor). I'm not exactly abusing this bag, so there isn't a reason for this to be happening other than poor quality control. One of these days I'll call their CS and see if they have any suggestions about what to do. Unless they can replace it, I'll keep the bag because it's not bothersome enough for me to give it up.
