It's interesting that she actually has pictures of the bag but specifically mentions it hasn't been released yet. I'm wondering if she had contacted Dooney about the lining issue and they refurbished her bag with the new purple liner. I've been holding off on sending my bag back to Dooney because I was afraid they'd tell me there's nothing they can do but give me my money back. I love this purse too much to let it go. But if they are swapping out the liners in our bags, that would be awesome! I emailed the seller to find out how she got this bag. Hopefully she'll respond.

Um, you think some guys don't have similar problems?! Everyone at work keeps oohing and aahing over the next generation Android Nexus 6 phone and Google and LG pushed the release date back FOUR months! Everyone has been waiting since February! I can see why some women will plop down a few hundred bucks to put a purse on hold but I don't understand spending a few hundred on a purse when anyone can look and clearly see that it's probably more expensive than the amount of cash she has inside it!

That's funny because I did the same exact thing. we'll see what she replies. I've been stalking the disneystore almost daily for the purple one. So much better than the red one. If it comes out I will have to get rid of the red one - don't need both. My husband was lucky enough to get me one online in December.

OK stalionblue - This bag is really not that expensive for a handbag. 300-400 is the normal price for a designer hand bag (well some like Coach, Dooney, Michael Kors amongst others). Let me tell you that designer handbag will last you a few years so you get your money's worth. I still use my coach bag for a few years along with my coach wallet. You can buy a $30 handbag at target but it wont last you that long and look as nice.

I also make enough money to buy myself something nice every once in a while so saying that women who buy expensive bags can't afford them is rediculous. I have an iphone 5s but I don't go buy a new phone every year for $500 when apple upgrades to a new phone. (it sounds like you upgrade your phone often)

The more expensive designer bags are Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton. $500+ even into the thousands. I highly doubt anyone who can't afford them is buying them and if you see someone who cant afford one its a knock off and I at least can tell the difference.

Some people on this thread were pointing out that this handbag retails at $330 and people are selling them on ebay for double that. I LOVE this bag but I am not spending more than retail to get it. If you are going to bash people who want this bag saying they "can't afford it anyway" then take your snarky comments elsewhere.

I looked at the listing and in the second pic it shows the tassels and they have purple on them, it looks like the real deal. Maybe she has an "in" at Dooney or something or maybe this is a prototype bag you know like a sample piece.
I must say the purple will look very nice. I hope some info is released soon.

Can't touch them on ebay for double. More like 3-4 times. And I'm with you-- I love this bag & really want one. But no way am I rewarding an ebay scalper & paying those prices.

I am still frustrated with Disney. They have to know what's going on with this bag online. They can make thousands of Sketch, Button & Charms bags. Why can't they make enough of these???

Yes, that was posted awhile back. The picture changed about 2 months ago maybe? But no one has reported being able to buy it since then.

Bag is 100 percent authentic. I had two red HM bags and the one I was using had a defect and this was sent to me as a replacement. If you visit the ds.com website - here is the link - you will see the inside is now purple in the pictures as well. Bag comes with plenty of registration papers as well.I have no idea if/when the bag is being released.

So, I guess I will be sending mine back to Dooney to see if they can do the same for me. I love this purse, but I'm fed up with it staining everything.

Hmmm that means they must have some produced because they wouldn't just spend the money on production just to replace the ones they get complaints about. I wish we could buy directly from Dooney! When I called them a few weeks ago using the same product # they said it wasn't listed. If you're calling about getting a new one could you see if they have a shipment date/new product number? The woman I talked to had no idea what I was talking about last time.

Hmmm i guess that means DS has them somewhere in there warehouse already, and just hasn't decided to put them up for sale yet...curiouser and curiouser.

WOW, just WOW. Maybe you need to take a breather. I did not say that to bash people. You clearly glossed over it! I don't have an Iphone and don't need one even though it would cost many long nights at work. Your second sentence strongly suggests that you're being a bit "snarky" too. My co-workers have MUCH newer cars than I do but I don't hate on them for that. The entire post was done out of some self-deprecating humor too but I guess you take life too seriously to stop and laugh once in a while.

Is there a thread other than this one to subscribe to for updates and info on the day it might be released...whenever that is?

I contacted the Disney Store personal shoppers and they just said it's no longer available. I really think they must be getting ready to release another set of them. Why else would they change the listing photo to the purple lining? I'm checking twice a day to see if they become available! Fingers crossed!
