Tiny update: The middle picture on the direct link has been photoshopped to purple lining. The tassels are still red on it as well and the first image still has red lining. We haven't seen them come back online since they changed the first photo, but they're clearly working on changing all of them. Hopefully this means they'll be online soon?

AAARGH! We were there last week and I asked CM's at every shop we were in (including Mouse Gear) if they had seen any HM bags and when they were getting them in. They all told me of course that hey hadn't seen them in months and one even told me that they would not be available anymore because they were Limited Edition.

I knew this would happen.

As far as price, there's a $350 Dooney on the website that they've been selling for like a year, so it surprises me that it would be the price point, but that's really the only thing that makes sense.

Exactly my point the $360 weakener bag has been selling for a long time on their website and it hasn't been sold out. In fact, I been wanting to buy one of the weakener bags, but so far I haven't because I haven't really needed a weakener bag and I know when I do, I can just go and order it on the website.

Many of of us in this thread if we had a chance to buy the HM D&B bag now without farther thought will just pay the $350 and do the happy dance. If we knew that we could buy the bag at any time we will give it extra thought. Maybe we will wait for a birthday, christmas, tax season or when the we get that bonus :good vibes. If it was a $20 item probably most of us would not give it extra thought, but at $350 not so much.

I think it has taken so long because of all the quality issues they had with these bags. Honestly after hearing about the flaking my rational side says wait to see the quality of this bags before you purchase one, but my not so rational said says I want it now . The market will level off just as it did with the first D&B Disney bags.

I remember when the first pattern came out and they were also selling on ebay for ridiculous amounts. Now you can get them pretty much everywhere.

So I just got my new Haunted Mansion bag in the mail. I think they just repaired my old bag by adding hideous GREEN suede. They also swapped out the tassels and gave me green tassels. The bottom, cloth part of the interior is still red, and the front and back pockets are still lined with red cloth. I. Am. Furious.

Yuck! Green?? I don't blame you! Now that there are reports of new bags in the parks, they should at least offer you a new bag. I'm assuming you will be calling customer service. Good luck!

I called D&B and the rep (somewhat snottily) told me that is how their Florentine bags are lined. I told her it looks terrible and I don't even want it now. I mentioned the purple-lined purses and she said she would have to "research" that to see if they have any available. She said I can send the purse back to them and they'll be contacting me with my options. This was exactly why I hesitated in returning my purse in the first place. If all they can do is offer me a refund, I'll be totally heart-broken.

I cannot believe they did not replace it with one of the new purple-lined bags.

ETA: I could see them attempting to "repair" the bag by adding the new purple lining and purple tassels, but where in the world is the green coming from?

I would try contacting Disney customer service and see if they can do anything for you. I wouldn't send the purse back unless you reach a resolution that is acceptable to you. Sorry you have to deal with this .

Ewww! When you call tell them you have several other examples (well the one on ebay- but she said she got 2 purple bags for sending it in both times! A little exaggeration never hurts) of other customers getting a purple lined bag for their faulty red one and you want to same treatment as their other customers. I'm so sorry this happened to you! Definitely get a confirmation on exactly what they'll do to fix the problem (if they promise a new purple/red lining) and the employee's name who promises it. Sending pixie dust your way!

You poor thing, that is unacceptable! Showed my DH and even he was confused and said yuck. So if a man can see it why couldn't Dooney?
I just don't get the lack of product, service, information and consideration around this whole thing.
Just as an example in contrast. Lesportsac had an entire series of Small World bags and Minnie design and now Tink. They were on the website and were plentiful, hence Lesportsac made money and so did Disney. The only people making money with this bag are re sellers.
I only own one Dooney which is the Small World and after this fiasco will never buy another.

I can almost see the green reminding me of the CM costumes- which is kind of cool I guess? Like had it originally come out with that color lining I'd still want the bag.

BUT it's definitely not okay with that awful Green/Red combo and considering they didn't tell you they'd change the color at all it just makes no sense and you definitely have every right to demand to get this fixed. Hopefully they refunded/will refund all this shipping you have to do back and fourth to them.

GOOD LORD!! It's even worse than I had pictured! How can someone at quality control think that is appropriate? Especially for a $300 bag!!
