Hello, I am trying to rent 60 points for a bc studio and am not getting too much interest. Could it be too little points for anybody to be bothered with? I am also trying to pm and continually recieve a error message regarding two or more vrl. Any help greatly appreciated.

Did you try the RENT / TRADE board .You should be able to get that just depends on avail of when you need them.

A person can book out 11 months at their home resort and 7 months out at their non home resort. Since you are looking for a room at the BCV more than 7 months out only a person with points for BCV as their home resort can help you right now. You best bet will be to look on the rent/trade board to see who is renting BCV points and see if they can help you.

You also are trying to get the points at less then $10 a point in December. That would be a huge problem!

This far in advance there are few members trying to get rid of distressed points - where they may be willing to accept your offer.

If you really want to get a reservaton set up this far in adavnce, it might be worth increasing the amount you are willing to pay for a reservation. If you wait until a couple of months before you want to travel, you may find someone willing to accept a lower amount, but may also find limited or no availability for your dates, resort and/or room type.

December is a more difficult time to book at the smaller DVC resorts - VWL, BCV & BWV. IIRC, there are already some early December dates at the BCV that are sold out and have waitlists.

If you want BCV in December, you will almost certainly need to pay more than $10/point, and if you wait much longer, you may not get into the BCV at all for that time frame this year. My opinion. Others may disagree (but they will probably be wrong, LOL).

In addition to the price issue, I see two other problems, one of which has been touched on by other posts. On the price issue, keep in mind that the total difference between paying $10 per point and $12 per point for your trip is $120.00. Put that in the perspective of the overall cost of the trip, and I think you'll agree that you don't want to be trying to negotiate points cost at that time of the year.

The two other problems, in order of importance, are as follows:

1. You don't know when you want to go. First you post asking for November dates, then you're looking for December. A renter who does not have their dates firmly set is a DVC owner's worst nightmare. You need to know exactly when you want to go, and you need to be able to stick to those dates. Especially that time of year, if your plans change after you make reservations, you will have wasted your time and the DVC owners -- if you are lucky. If you are unlucky, you will have lost your deposit.
2. You are trying to book the least expensive accommodations, in the smallest DVC resort, during the absolutely busiest season for DVC. You would do much better to try BWV (if you MUST be in the Epcot area) or OKW or SSR. Those are much larger resorts, with many more owners who might be renting. You are going to have to be extraordinarily lucky to get BCV in early December -- at any price.

And finally, you may have much better luck looking for owners who offer points to rent. PM them, tell them what you are looking for, and see what happens. Most owners looking at your posts are going to conclude that what you want is not very realistic, and they are not going to reply to your thread.

My first post was the end of Feb. and did not receive much interest and I am a little flexible so I adjusted date today. I haven't change my mind every ten minutes as you suggest. You did not understand my post, I am neg. meaning I will pay more however I know the usual price is 10 a point so I am trying to void a ridiculous price request.

I presume you mean URL, not VRL. If you're trying to post a link, photo, etc into your PM, you can't until afte you'be been a member awhile and you have more posts on the DIsboards.
