Someone on the Passporter boards lost her old passes, which made me think of sharing my method of keeping live passes, my Disney Dollar fund, and a few other important things, safe and centralized until it's time to go.
I used to keep my park passes in a spare wallet, and my Disney Dollars and travellers checks in a plain envelope, both locked up securely in my small closet safe. But since my WDW and Uni APs are collectively worth close to $600, and I can have several hundred bucks worth of Disney Dollars and travellers checks in that envelope by trip time, I figured it was worth it to spend $4 on a new wallet (actually, it's a "checkbook wallet" I got at WalMart), and keep all that important stuff together.
Now, some folks may have a safe, others only have a filing cabinet, but everybody should have some sort of secure, lockable enclosure in your home for important documents, small valuables, and park passes.
Remember, that stuff is worth a lot of money!
