is this going to essentially be the same as the old Norway one (same boat track) but just rethemed with Frozen characters. My girls (10 and 12) like frozen but not sure if we use our one Tier 1 FP for it?

Yes,same track except the ride will be "longer" because it will unload at the loading area instead of where it used to unload at the Spirit of Norway theater.

That's going to be a dilemma for everyone I think. Personally I'm going to use my FP+ on Soarin', go RD to Test Track, then go to Frozen and hope it's under 40 minutes (but highly unlikely). I think Frozen is going to see some high wait times for a long time unfortunately. And I'll have to go on it multiple times b/c of DD1 is 3 yrs old. So my plan of Soarin' FP+ is probably out the window.....parent swap that one then.

I think a challenge is going to be trying to get a FP+ for it. I guess if you're in the 60 day window you can get one, but you can't at the 30 day. I've tried...many, many times. Check every day to see if one opened up. Nothing.

I switched out my Soarin' FP for Frozen. Not because I love Frozen, but I think the Frozen line will be longer than the Soarin line....and the Soarin' queue is usually a better one for a long wait.

I'm definitely going to FP+ Frozen... Rope Drop Soarin'.... and then Single Rider Line at Test Track. I hope it works !
I totally agree with this philosophy as well and plan on doing this in October when we go.

I'm glad my DD is not a Frozen fan. I'm hoping the attraction make the wait of some of the other top rated rides (Spaceship Earth, Test Track, etc...) shorter.

It definitely will not hurt. I think the wait times for Frozen and the Royal Summerhaus are going to be off the charts for 12-18 months...especially if they do not open a FP for the M&G

While I agree with your approach, I am not sure I agree with the reasoning. Soarin' will be debuting a new, long-awaited film at the same time that FEA debuts, so I would expect the wait for Soarin' to be every bit as long as FEA. Plus, people will tend to start their day in Future World out of habit, if nothing else. So the Soariin' line will build very quickly and will likely never decrease. This is not to say that FEA won't have a huge line. It will. But I don't think one will be better than the other. The reason why it is better to get a FP for FEA is because it is easier to Rope Drop Soarin' due to its location in the park, which will leave you to go to FEA at your leisure whenever it makes sense to go to Norway. Going straight to Norway and World Showcase first thing is not an attractive option since the walk (sprint?) is much longer, and there is nothing else to do in that area once you are there. Going from the entrance (either one) to Norway then back to Future World is highly inefficient given how big Epcot is. Better to go from the entrance (either one), to Soarin', to Test Track, and then use a late morning or early afternoon FP for FEA.

Omg thank you for this! I was dead set on RD FEA and fp Soarin', but now your reasoning makes so much more sense than mine. This is why I love the dis boards!

I thought I walked at a normal speed until my first rope drop at Intl Gateway. I was left in the dust. It felt like a really LONG walk to Soarin', too.

I agree with you, but Soarin also now has three flight bays that will take some of the pressure of the mobs wanting to experience the new film...thus part of my easier line thinking.

We are staying at the Yacht Clu so could try to rope drop FEA and then do soarin and test track and spaceship earth. I would prefer to do Epcot late afternoon to dinner and do a water park/pool during the morning though. Being the end of August will lines for soarin at night still be crazy even with the extra screen? Test track? If we could do world showcase early evening along with a dinner there and then head to the future work attractions I'm wondering how bad lines will be? Is this too much of a gamble?

Someone there in the last week or two said they were only operating 2 of the 3 theaters. Maybe when they open the new film they will fully operate all 3........

our plan is to go to EMH and RD Anna / Elsa then walk over to FEA then PH to MK. On our other Epcot morning we will RD Joy and Sadness and FP Soarin' - our trip is in September so luckily I have plenty of time to rearrange things once everything opens/ we get a good look at how the lines are going to run etc
